The criticism from fans is that it is clear to even the most casual fan that they are playing selfish, low energy ball that can't possibly be the team's plan

When you watch TN they are FR but they passed exceptionally well, they played with energy and showed little to no selfish play

I guess tradition now for when team loses they bitch about fan support. Dunans tweeted this last night

Havent we had a couple guys say shite like this on different occasions this year?

Pearl should tell them to stfu or hit the road if they are going to whine about it

Hence Mac saying "tradition now"

It is stupid but I just don't care about it that much. Don't see why it is/should be a big deal that a player is frustrated on twitter.

To me, if Bruce just says something along the lines of "Whining on twitter won't make you play better and the fans aren't the ones stopping you from playing team ball." I'm satisfied with the reponse

Yes, Bryce when he was in his slump and Purifoy in the last couple weeks I think.

You obviously can't tell the guys they aren't allowed to use social media, but look at Jared Harper. He posted on his twitter on October 31, "Season Ready, See Y'all After". He hasn't posted anything since. Now, he hasn't struggled as much as some of the guys who have lashed out, but maybe they should all take a page from his book.

I wish he would reply to Dunans on twitter with this. He blasted Horace in the offseason for fouling out so much, so it wouldn't be unprecedented for him, and Dunans needs a reality check. He's a senior and should know better than to do that kind of crap.

The team deserves to hear it a little from the fans. I can handle getting beat but getting outworked at home isn't something I care to see.

Yep. That first half, it seemed like everyone but Harper quit after the first few entry passes to Wiley didn't work.

Purifoy was a week ago. So far, Dunans, Purifoy, Lang, Brown, and Spencer have all said dumb shite about phantom negative fans on Twitter this season, at least that I know of. I actually saw some true responses to Dunans, and not just a bunch of nuthuggers giving him his needed attention.

None of them mentioned twitter haters specifically so who knows. Maybe some Aholes were giving them a hard time in person

Dunans, Purifoy and Brown deserve to be heckled.

Brown right now does not deserve to be heckled. He still needs a lot of improvement but he easily is a net positive for the team the way he is playing

Dunans can't decide if he wants to be awesome for us or a complete train wreck

Purifoy decided to try and be Kyle Korver and ignore his great athleticism cause why not

Who knows. Doesn't seem to be directed at message boards, and no one has sent them a hateful mention on there. They just need to start taking their own advice and shut the hell up. Lack of accountability.

He was doing this before his injury, so it probably isn't a good excuse, but he looked like he could barely move against UT. Hope that is the ankle still bothering him and not just an effort issue.

agreed, but before I actually turned the shite show vs UT off he looked completely disinterested in what was going on. Granted they were getting their shite pushed in pretty good at that point, and while I understand that it's frustrating as a player it just looked like he had given up and didn't want to be out there.

Rick Barnes is a good coach. The way your team plays is an extention of the coach. Teams take on personality from the coach.

Barnes will be interesting to watch, he's getting older but I don't think that by itself is a big deal. To me the big deal with Barnes is that he isn't known for his recruiting prowess, and the complacency that comes with age + poor recruiting can get to them.

From a resume standpoint, Barnes is the real deal. He built Texas basketball from the ground up
