My apologies
Confident Bruce will right the ship and have us finish at a respectable 39-1

He gonna repeal one of our losses?

He was just trying to show me he is now a reformed Auburn fan in good standing.

So yeah, to "right the ship" means finish with >38-2 record

Fun fact, Auburn has shot >70% FT on 5 straight games
We've only done that one other stretch of 5 games in the past 6 seasons

...and we've enjoyed seeing each and every one drop through the bucket.
After starting the year more rusty than expected, we've really turned it on in the FT department in this streak we're on...and I hope it doesn't stop!

I think a lot of the freshman just had some jitters of playing college. Now that they've settled down some, they seem to be dropping them like they should (I'm looking at you Harper)

We are a tick below 70% this year at the moment. We easily could finish around 75% which would be

Overall much better at FTs this year, but we have missed late game pressure FTs too often.

So what are our expectations for these first 3 games? I know Vandy and UGA were picked in the top 6 preseason but neither have looked super impressive so far. We never win @ Vanderbilt so are we hoping for 2-1 to start things off?
Would love to be 5-0 before Kentucky but that might be expecting too much

We need to win 3 of the first 4 imo. Vandy at Vandy is tough. Need to protect home court and get one in Missouri.

I'd like to make a motion to at least temporarily remove KenPom rankings from the OP. Regardless of their general accuracy I think it is safe to say they are at the least under-valuing Auburn with some of the teams they have ranked ahead of us. It is causing me some mild butthurt and from reading a few posts here and there I don't think I'm the only one with that reaction.

While we both may think that, objectively you can't really support that argument. Only two of our wins are vs teams more than 1 game over .500. We also win by margins significantly smaller than expected

UCONN is losing to Houston 38-12
Don't have Jalen Adams though because of the concussion he suffered against us.

Houston is a pretty good team this year. Kenpom has them around top 50

UGA has lost to 4 tournament teams. We should actually have the size advantage though and we get them at home between their loss to Oakland and them looking ahead to USCe.
