Spencer is the new Bowers, just not as aggressive offensively?

Once we are some games in, I'll start including RPI information, that is just a little harder to do and update

I'll probably get a way to handle it more easily but until then it will be 1-2 weeks/ update

Those look pretty spot on to me. I do differ slightly on Horace. I don't think it is his bball IQ holding him back as much as I think he still has to learn to play under control. He gives maximum effort every play on both ends of the court and that can get you in trouble especially with fouls and turnovers.

It's a game we should win. They have some talent but like us they don't have a lot of experience playing together due to all the transfers they have playing. They are a grind it out team and really get after it defensively so they will present a different challenge than N Florida.

Who all is going to make it? I'm expecting a pretty sparse crowd for this one.

I'll be there though

Can't make it being in Bham. Weeknight 8:00 games are just brutal to make that drive.

Who all is planning on making it to the UAB game? Would love to get a decent Auburn section going.

I wish I could, but finals are the next week so I can't take the time to drive up and back

My parents will be there though, and I'll probably be taking a break to watch it

just checked tickets, and the majority are already sold, so if anyone is on the fence, I suggest hopping on it soon. Tickets are $35.

Noted.

I'm pumped for this season. I really like the guys on our roster. All of Pearl's teams have been fun to watch but this seems like the first year we can pair fun + expectations

Agreed. We have the makeup this year to be a really streaky team. If they get hot, they can beat a lot of people this year. They remind me a lot of those Marquette teams around 2006-2010 or so. Very fast teams with strong guard play and can shoot the lights out if they are on. Problem was if they were cold on a given day, they were in trouble.

Season should be lots of fun no matter what.

Where are you looking for tickets? I checked on Stubhub earlier today and it looked like the cheapest ones were around $45. I'd like to go, but everywhere I've looked, decent seats are upwards of $100. That's a little too pricey for a bball game for me.

UAB website you can buy tickets

LINK

I don't know if there are any transaction fee's or anything. The base ticket price is $35. Bartow is pretty compact, so even upper deck seats aren't bad.

ETA: The website shows all the lower bowl tickets are sold out, so the aftermarket is probably why they are so expensive.

The last SEC team Georgia State beat was Auburn in 2003

Laron Smith played for Georgia State before transferring to Bethune-Cookman
