It's the details that can sink a good team. This isn't a good team.

It starts at the top.

Don't disparage our special teams by leaving out their contribution to another loss. The 2 missed FG and giving up a 40 yard punt return helped, along with the dumb penalty for jumping over Vandy's line that essentially gave them a TD.

Exactly.

Pavia didn't do shite. He got the ball on our 21 yard line after that punt return and botched a 3rd and 2, resulting in only a FG.

The very next drive they go down the field and we stop them in the redzone again, until Faulk gifts them a TD on that moronic penalty.

This is at least the 3rd game where we missed a FG with the opportunity to take the lead. That is so demoralizing and puts so much pressure on the D.

Oh, I agree 100%.
I was just pointing out how our atrocious ST play yesterday contributed greatly to that loss.
As a matter of fact it could have won us the game or at least gotten us to OT even though our offense looked like garbage. Instead it helped seal our fate.

At this point I’m not sure why we even attempt field goals outside of maybe a chip shot. Mcgou can still get it together and be a good kicker one day but it’s in his head right now.

Agree. Don’t understand the thinking of not going for it n the 4&4.

We are extremely young everywhere. We play 6 TFR and 2 Sophs on most defensive downs. ST penalty was one of the true sophs who's also a budding star - Faulk. Rest of ST are a lot of TFR and untalented upperclassmen.

The whole thing, and all of our losses this year, have been a combination of PT mistakes and typical young player mistakes. Take away either one and we're bitching about being on the edge of the playoff field.

Nope, but I’ll tell you my theory. CHF is probably going to ride out the rest of the season with PT because if he puts in Holden G or WW and they have success, Huge is afraid he’ll look like an even bigger dumbass.

But I agree Peyton Thorne should never take another snap at QB and Focus on what his life is going to look like after football. Maybe he can get his CDL or something

He will probably run over three cars in the intersection the first time he has to take a right driving a semi…

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but he could play every snap in the last 3 games and still redshirt.
Do you want him shell-shocked the way Bo Nix was at FLA & LSU?

WTF are you talking about. Bo won his first game at Auburn at Jerry world against Oregon who had a heisman QB and a #1 offensive line.

Of all the unhinged posters since this board opened, you have to be vying for the #1 spot.

Were you blackout drunk during those two games, or have you just developed a metal block that keeps you from remembering Gus trotting poor Nix out there, series after series, when everyone could see that he was rattled to the point that he was incapable of making good decisions?
