They put on some fantastic shows, I hope the same or better energy takes his place, unsure of the reasoning for the change, but I wish him the best.

yeah, i’ve gotten onboard with the between quarter light shows, but i still cant abide the lame DJ during the games

The mic man is a prestigious position at AU. It won’t be going away.

I agree the goofy DJ stuff can go. But it’s mainly for a demographic that I left 30+ years ago. It’s for the students. So let them vote on whether to keep it or not.

Since USAID left the equation the top 40 on billboard top 100 has not had rap songs (1990 was the last time)

May be the most political position in all of AU athletics, and that is saying something

Back in the mid 2000's they were decent. Whoever has taken over control of the position and forced them all to do the voice they now do and the routine they now do should be tarred and feathered. It is such a souless routine that sucks all energy out of the stadium pregame every time they go out there. Majority of the routine is just cheers that he is doing over the mic and not ones that the crowd can really get loud doing.
