Long was fired. Someone else is having to run the day to day.
JJ is retiring eff June 1, 2018 and until his replacement is here, he can run the day to day stuff, except I am sure any major decision will be made by someone else.
So they want to make the best possible. There is no football coach to hire, so they are not under any timetable.
