Ehh. The bounce is the tricky part. Only kicking it 6 or 7 yards isn’t that tricky, it’s just an awful kick.

I don’t know why more teams don’t practice the 20-yard sky-high pooch kick. Get the ball over their frontline and your hands guys down the field to contest the upbacks.
Can’t see where it would be any less successful. Seems like there was a team a few years back who had some good results with it.

Teams just fair catch that now. You can still do it by driving the ball straight into the ground, which can’t be fair caught. That’s just a really tough one to be consistent on.
