Dear diary,
Auburn football is my saving grace, it's my 3 hours that takes me away from all of the bullshite in my life. The Navy moved me from California to DC this time last year and DC sucks arse. I am from Buffalo and the Bills haven't been to the playoffs since I was in middle school. The Sabres haven't been good since I was at Auburn. Auburn football is my escape and I enjoy it when we're competitive, win or lose.

The Cam season was incredible, I bathed in it. First time as a fan one of my teams won a championship. 2012 was bad but hey we'd just won a couple years prior. 2013 was insanity and I was at the rose bowl when we lost, thinking to myself 'we'll be back soon enough. Give Gus time to build his own thing.'

Wrong. I get enthusiastic watching the games, I am critical when we are sucking but celebrate hard when we get something right. But midway through the 3rd quarter, I mentally threw in the towel. I was at an Auburn bar and the old timers were still doing Two Bits but I was zoned out. I knew without a special teams return or a pick six, we were done. Hope for any championship season, conference or otherwise, was done.

This is Gus's team, Stidham, Pett, the WR, serviceable line with some good guards, elite defense.. the pieces were finally in place, tons of talent everywhere, this was it, a new start, a new hope.

No. Not at all. It's the same old shite and its only getting worse. No Cam, no Marshall, no one is walking through that door. We'll be 8-5 at best. Tonight on offense was embarrassing, sad, and incredibly disappointing. I might need to do something with my weekends until the AD and coach give as much or more fricks about the program as I do. The excuses are up, the buck has stopped.

Upvote if you are done with Gus and ready for scorched earth for AU football. Downvote if you somehow have a sliver of hope though I will not understand your reasoning.

I'm done.

Look, Tuberville had some frick up seasons too. But they. Ever looked and felt this goddamn boring. I rarely felt embarrassed watching a Tuberville team. Maybe a few games in 2003 and obviously the offense in 2008.

But I always felt like next week we could improve and win. Always thought we had a consistent product and enjoyed watching almost every game from 2004 to 2007. Even the losses.

With Gus, I already know this season is shot. @LSU, Georgia, and Alabama are losses. Might drop one to Miss State or Ole Miss.

Probably get into a better bowl game than we deserve with our name recognition and fan support. Lose that too.

9-4 at best. 8-5 most likely.

And the offense will just look inept and stupid every week.

I'm done with Gus and Jay Jacobs. I'm praying that Chip starts banging one of the players and Gus and JJ cover it up and get caught like the softball team.
