I don't think there is any coach in waiting agreement with Steven Pearl. That has been rumored but I would be surprised. I don't think Steven would even want that as a contract agreement with his dad. I do think it's a possibility we hire him in the future after BP retires though. I'll try not to complain about it until it actually happens

Upon googling the Bucky guy, i am convinced you can easily be right so pivot back to Bucky. The dude was helping coach in high school while still playing college ball himself. His trajectory is scorching. His name is Bucky out of respect to Hugh Freeze, the beaver. Its a match made in Heaven. Where do I sign up?

It will just depend on timing. If Bruce retires in 4-6 years we could maybe swing it. In 8-10 years I'd bet he will already be at his long term destination.

I wish Steven would go and prove himself somewhere outside of Auburn first. I understand Auburn is only where it is because of BP but to hand that off to someone completely unproven could really damage the program.

I get this line of thinking but also see value in him hanging around and continuing to learn how a successful big program operates and building recruiting relationships that are actually useful. Duke and UNC both did this.
