Shift in strategy. Aubie learned a lot last year with the Offord flip at the last minute. Bout broke Hugh. Now thoughts are just having the $$$ right in December.
Redmond and others in charge at AU think when the House ruling comes in to effect the big money offers will be unable to fulfill. Auburn (and Alabama) are NOT lying to kids.
Also, a ton of money invested in this current roster. Expect a lesser HS class this year and more in to portal and holding current roster together.
No one internally is panicked one bit. Everyone thinks the team is going to be very good this year and everything will even out so to speak.

For whatever it’s worth, which may be nothing, Hoke said a few donors pulled money back in response to some sort of disagreement with Freeze. He also said it was temporary and that things are heading in the right direction again

If it's crowell he's announcing at 6:20 CST tonight so that would make sense. Also confusing since he had been such a favorite towards bama and supposedly we're not offering "blank checks" right now.

Good new is we got our qb for the class of 2026. Looks like an uber athlete with a good bit of potential. Hopefully he isn't too expensive and we can still bring in a stud for 2027.

Dont know anything about his ability, but top 200 4* that we flip from PSU right out from their back yard is pretty impressive.
