If it's not a sac.....it has to be an E, a FC, an out, or a hit. There is nothing else it could be.

The batter would have a 3U BOX. If the First baseman fielded the ball and tagged the bag. If the 1st baseman tossed the ball to the pitcher for the out, it would be a 3-1 BOX.
Either way, the runner would advance due to a FC, not a sacrifice. Hope this helps
