Fielder’s choice. 2 outs runner on second then pinch run a speedster.

Ground it to third and the game is over.

Needed that one. Need to win this series to separate ourselves from pack a bit and host.

After Kohn they don’t have much starting pitching so I think the series is ours. Would love the sweep though.

Pico Kohn is the best high school pitcher I ever saw. Completely dominating without throwing 100.

Big win for the team. Just keep clicking off wins

Bigbens, awesome job on the play by play and kudos on sticking with the super late start. Getting the Friday win is always nice. Dutton has really been good and Rembert just keeps impressing.

The movement on those breaking pitches was something else, but we still made some good contact on him and he plinked a few guys.

MSU was so desperate to avoid going to the pen he ran up a hell of a pitch count, though.

lol

The late start actually worked out for me. We were moving my daughter into an apartment in Inverness at the time first pitch was scheduled. Wouldn’t have been able to watch the entire game but for the delay.

First pitch in a little under a half hour. Lineup changes a bit from last night.

1. Rembert
2. Terrell
3. Irish
4. McMurray
5. Guevara
6. Steele
7. Fabian
8. Fralick
9. Carter

Cade Fisher on the bump.

And we’re off. MSU opens up with a ground out. Two hole hits a double to right that only just stays in the yard. Three hole hitter follows with a two run jack. Cade off to a very rough start.

2-0 MSU T1 one out.

Then follows that with a four pitch walk. Pen better start getting warm.

2-0 MSU T1. One on, one out.

And he surrenders a second two run jack. Get him out. We don’t have much long relief but at this point we have to go to the pen.

4-0 MSU T1 one out.

Hey the Savannah Bananas are on ESPN. Something to switch to if this gets any uglier.

Cade gets a fly out for out two, then surrenders a single, then gets a ground out to third to mercifully end the frame.

4-0 MSU B1

Let’s see if we can respond.

Rembert grounds out to lead off. First time he hasn’t reached safely in the series. Bub gets a 3-0 count but the pitcher bounces back and he goes down swinging. Ike grounds out and we go down 123.

I think Bub has a complaint. Couple of pitches that are not generally strikes get a different zone with a 3-0/3-1 count.

4-0 MSU T2. Auburn is going to Armstrong.

Armstrong gets a K to open the second. Bristol Carter with an amazing diving play absolutely robs their one hole hitter of what would have an extra base hit. Pop out ends the frame.

4-0 MSU B2.

Coop grounds out to open our half of the second. Guevara gets a 3-0 count but just like Bub the pitcher recovers and he goes down swinging. Steele flies out and the inning is over.

4-0 MSU T3.

Armstrong Ks the leadoff to open the third. Beans the next guy. Ks the next guy. Then Ks the next guy.

4-0 MSU B3.
