I've got more hope of Freeze//Montgomery/Davis fixing TJ than i do of them getting Ashford to be a adequate passer. He is at least semi accurate.

People are going to nitpick on what players they hate say. It’s the Auburn fan way.

Can we not do the “TJ could figure it out” thing again? If TJ is our starting QB next year Freeze will find himself fired sooner rather than later just like Harsin

This is a really weak explanation. Most people don't like an athlete who is cocky or arrogant while at the same time not being good enough to back up that talk. It's just not a combination of traits that presents itself as likable. The problem with Ashford is that he is someone who thinks that he is entitled to admiration without having done anything to earn it. This has nothing to do with Auburn fans.

Bro. No. Finley is horrible. Horrible.

If there is no transfer QB, it’s got to be Geriner.

Can you cite a specific example to back this up?

Im not doing anything. Im not a TJ fan either. I'm just saying behind an average OL imo TJ is a better qb than Robbie will ever be. Robbie is fast, can throw a football a long way and has a high tolerance for pain. That's pretty much all of his positive attributes as a qb.

And I disagree. TJ is terrible. Do you not remember watching him last year?

All we are asking is ‘give freeze a chance’. See what he can do with the right system and coach up our QBs. He did it with Malik.

I think the lynch pin issue with Ashford is his extreme lack of accuracy. The staff can't afford to and won't put up with it. If he were to magically fix the accuracy, I believe the staff could work with him (yeah, the emotions are not ideal - won't matter because he won't improve the accuracy while trying to learn a new offense).
I think folks may have a bad impression of Holden G. from last season's dreadful series of plays. Well Haskins probably had him buried on the scout team until Monday of that week. Also, (per insiders) our offense was 3 or 4 plays. In other words, you just can't underestimate the incompetence HG was dealing with. Haskins probably didn't want to play him because Bobo found him, or something like that.

Regardless if it’s right or not him posting that, it wasn’t from confidence or arrogance. That is made out of insecurity and lack of confidence.

TJ has no winning qualities for an SEC QB, he is inaccurate, slow, poor decision maker, easily unsettled by pressure, and appeared to take shots at his teammates off the field.
Two coaches have started TJ in the SEC and neither of them currently have jobs.
Robbie is inaccurate (worse than TJ), seems to be a hothead, but the running ability and arm strength can play in this league. Will he be a winning QB overall if his accuracy doesn’t improve? Not likely.

Auburn doesn’t beat Mizzou, Texas A&M, or Western Kentucky with Scooter last year.

Robbie is not a good Qb and Auburn will not have a winning record with him at the helm. He is one dimensional and if he were starting on any other team in the league we all would be chalking it up as a win on our schedule.

I'm sure with a reworked and assumingly much improved OLine Robby can be a serviceable qb for us next year.
I think people miss how bad our line was when they evaluate robby.

Yes. And play calling. And receivers getting open. And literally everything. Harsins program was hot garbage

With Freeze as HC, and our schedule next year, I’d bet on no worse than .500 if Robbie starts. Hell, he would’ve gotten there this year if Harsin got fired earlier.
That being said, we need a transfer. No reason to put all our eggs in someone as raw as Robbie’s basket + wherever Holden is at

No one has forgotten how bad the line play has been.
Come on man.
