The first time I felt convinced KN wasn’t sticking much longer was over December when he was taking that random month long break. And some random poster asked him on the board if he was going to take over recruiting coverage for KN. He said he would do it if that’s what AUC wanted him to do.
It does seem like he prefers the more old school column assignment work as well as routine program coverage. Recruiting coverage can be all over the place for most of the season and turns into a sprint now in November and December

I’ve had AUC, On3 and Rivals at some point, even ITAT.

Hoke is cringe. Pinkston is an amateur and JLee is the only saving grace for On3.
Truthfully, there’s not a great AU site at the moment. Even before KN’s departure as he was becoming more and more absent.

Pinkston reminds me of corch in some ways. Not a lot of people want to talk about the special details or the game within the game and some do. Pinkston and corch want to talk technique or some shite and that bores me. Pinkston also tries to evaluate recruits based on his level of understanding and anybody that tries to evaluate recruits entertains me

I concur on Pinkston’s breakdowns. They’re generally poorly written and provide nothing insightful.

I have an On3 sub but only because of the $10/year offer when they launched. I won’t be renewing. Pretty much every paysite sucks IMO. It seems like there’s one guy on each that I like and can’t stand the rest. Plus everything ends up here eventually anyway

Clemente from Rivals announced he is leaving and he was becoming Rival’s recruiting guy. I wonder if he is leaving for KN’s position. I also wonder if he got pushed out. A lot of the recent recruiting nuggets have come from national guys

I haven't gotten into this class much. Not sure why. I guess the net is to large and we are only at the very top of so few for now.

Is it just me or did KN not really seem to care much about his job over the last couple of years? For a while, he was bar far the best recruiting reporter but lately he rarely would find anything out that others didn’t already know. Sounds like it was time for him to move on to a different career.

He’s been saying for a few years now that his time covering recruiting for Auburn was coming to an end. Looks like he finalized that decision last fall and has been riding out this last year. He was about as good as it gets in recruiting up until last fall, IMO.
No idea what he does next but I imagine it won’t be too far off from what he does now. But you’re right — he was ready to move on.
