Crazy he was the 3rd string RB at South Carolina before transferring to Auburn.

I'm ready for Freeze to punt on Posse. Five HS in three years and didn't start at the last HS. Seems to be a statue athletically, based on my screwed evaluation.

Yeah pretty major red flags there. Hard to turn down a top 100 recruit though. Could be the next Josh Allen or the next Joey Gatewood.

3 high schools this fall.

He didn’t win the starting job at Columbus (private school). So he transferred to Edison (public) the week before the season started to play with a receiver he used to play with. Then something happened there eligibility wise it seems because he pretty quickly enrolled at a charter school there and eventually wound up starting. I believe half the season was over at that point.

Not sure on all of the finer details involved. Seemed like he was a little thrown off by not starting and scrambled a little to figure something out. Don’t think he’s a bad kid but it’s a red flag. Clemson, Ohio State, and a bunch of others offered before this last fall unfolded the way it did

I’m not expecting him to stay committed. Just isn’t likely with the coaching change and Freeze/Montgomery having specific things they’re looking for in a QB

Posse i doubt will be in next years class. Highly overrated but a tests well kind of kid.

A'mon Lane will continue to drop in the rankings.

Need to get back on Kavion Henderson would be the perfect SDE in Roberts type of defensive scheme.

Need to lock up Burnette at running back to kick off this in state class. And go full court press on Riddick

So where do we stand on a QB now? Is Leonard going to enter the portal? Any news on the talks with Sanders? Anyone else?

SMU QB in the portal.

In 2021, Mordecai threw for 39 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and 3,628 yards for the Mustangs. He followed that up with 33 touchdown passes, 10 interceptions, and 3,524 yards with SMU in 2022. He led SMU to an 8-4 record in 2021 and a 7-6 record in 2022.

Mordecai’s 72 passing touchdowns over the last two seasons are fourth-most among all college football quarterbacks, as Pro Football Focus tweets.

Burnette doesn’t look as explosive or have the vision that Cobb does. Of course I suck at evaluating.

Burnette is the epitome of "big back". We have a lot of smaller backs. Burnette isn't a must get but he would bring a dimension needed to our RB room.

I get that. But does Freeze use a big back? Seems like all I can recall are the quicker more versatile type.
Went back and read your eval of the offense. Guess that answers my question!

I'm getting farther and farther from the football side of things. But one kid is another running back. Blaine Burke. Moody kid as well. Electric with the ball and was a former slot WR. Runs a 6.65 60 and a 4.5 40

Last season 12 games 162 carries 1605 yards 9.9 per carry 20TDs on a pass heavy offense. Also had 31 receptions 367 yards 11.8 per and 4 TDs.

I'll try to ask around for any out there that might be SEC material.

All the Clay-Chalkville kids are listed that I know of. Trussville is still down on talent. There are a couple kids that are really young that might have an opportunity in a year or so to come on the scene. And if I'm remembering correctly there's a lineman at Oxford or Gadsden City that's supposed to be really good but can't think of his name right now.
