My parents told me Santa, tooth fairy, and Easter Bunny were real. Yet somehow, I still trust them, but Hugh isn't my parents.

After Gus and Harsin, and especially Harsin, I will not give my trust. I also won't spend the next twelve months being critical of every move he makes either.

Wow I did not realize he was the Dilfer kid. I've heard Dilfer rave about him on the Ryen Russillo podcast. Granted Dilfer used to say Sean White was an artist with the ball and I know how many of you felt about Sean White

That being said, Brown does seem to be a great guy to have on the team even if he is a 4 year backup. I watched their playoff game and he didn't really jump off the screen talent-wise but didn't make mistakes.

He is welcome here

he shouldn’t be expected to play next year.

I don’t know when he or Holdy goldy will play

The biggest thing hurting Hank Brown is that he was a 1 year starter. Pretty tall kid but lanky. Other offers from Vandy, Illinois, Pitt, and Minnesota.

Threw for 3300 yards, 47 TDs (combined?), with a 73% completion percentage

Any word on leary?

Not sure if we’ll match UK’s hefty NIL bid.

This is the kind of thinking that leaves your program in the cellar while Alabama and/or Georgia are in the playoffs literally every year.

Yeah I mean the flip side of people saying "He is Freeze's guy!" "Recruiting rankings aren't always right!" is that if Harsin or Gus had signed this kid it would have been DEFCON 1.

We are in the honeymoon phase.

Pretty respectful without knowing anything else about him or his competition.

They miss on individual players all the time but they get it right more times than not. Micro vs macro.

You can follow the link and check the source and determine that for yourself.

The amount is hard to believe, but I do have it on good authority that UK put in a large NIL bid and we had a decision to make whether to match it or not.

The only person who has said something like that is me and I’m far from in a honeymoon phase.

I’m not saying trust Freeze. I don’t think he’s as much of a guru as everyone says he is but I don’t understand thinking he’s a guru then freaking out about a guy he wanted. (I don’t know what your opinion is of Freeze)

SIZE:
Hank has excellent size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 195 lbs. Stands tall in the pocket with good vision. Quick hitting QB with decisive throws made from his initial reads. Throws include a very high release point, adding more height to his passes.
ACCURACY:
He’s on the mark with his throws made at the short and intermediate range. Displays proper throwing mechanics which are very consistent with every throw. Good anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
High velocity throws that are made over the middle, squeezing in between tight windows of space. Able to generate momentum through his fully extended arm motion. Tight trajectory at longer distances.
THROW ON RUN:
Hank’s most comfortable as a pocket passer but can also work to the outside with good mobility and control. Displays good vision downfield and has a knack for picking up on big play opportunities.
FOOTWORK:
Very good footwork on his dropbacks as well as his set ups. An athletic QB who shows good agility within the pocket.
POISE:
He’s very calm while in the pocket, able to work through his progressions patiently. He shows confidence in his ability to lead his team down the field. Good feel of defensive pressure, moving laterally for added space.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Hank does a nice job connecting with his initial targets with quick reads. Good sense of traffic and pocket pressure.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job seeking out his primary receivers and delivering the ball without hesitation. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer release when needed.
