I see something a little different playing out. Petrino brings in his offense and say it doesn't gel right off the bat. Well, Jimbo just can't have that and basically scraps Petrino's offense and starts calling his own again and aTm reverts back to their norm.

Jimbo's ego will not sit aside if BP struggles in the slightest. Hell, he wouldn't even answer the question about who would call plays at media days. Meanwhile, Freeze said something to the effect of "We will integrate stuff from Phillip and stuff I've ran before. Phillip will call plays, but I can call a play here and there if I see something and think it may work."

And that is totally normal and is how it should work with an offensive minded HC. Just like I'm sure Saban let's his DC call plays but if he sees something in a certain formation or down and distance and knows the other team's tendency, I have to believe he can key his headset and make a call.

ETA: 8-4 is the prediction. We win what we should and pull one we shouldn't. Not great, but moving in the right direction for a change.
