That was the year Petrino was the OC. Probably another reason for Jetgate.

Obviously putting High Nall and Enfinger as CO-OC was a terrible decision. They had an extremely talented offense.

I don’t know why we have to compare Bo to an Auburn fan favorite like that anyhow.

My fault. I feel like fans are harder on Bo because the expectations were greater than that of someone like Cox.

But back to LCT’s point. It would be nice if we could have a consistent non-transfer QB. My posi-tiger side thinks Geriner is our guy.

My Posi-Tiger side thought it would be Johnson, or White, or Rollison, or Burns, or Frazier...

It’s not really your fault. lol. You’re fine either way. Cox was a warrior but his results were a mixed bag and I felt he held our offense back. His Ironbowls and the Georgia game where Obamanu recovered the fumble reflect positively on him as a QB. But then there are the dumb losses and stanky leg smh

Cox was really good in 2005 (save for the GT game: his first start where Borges asked too much of him, and the bowl game where he was playing drunk, allegedly…)

The 2005 offense was nearly as good as 2004’s

JSS used the term "unfortunately" when he discussed this. Obviously not pleased that someone had loose lips but it isn't exactly a surprise for anyone paying attention to practice reps recently.

What a 6-7 prick

Jimmy Rane obviously leaked it to ESPN, Jang. That's the only explanation.

i'm not following - you're calling JSS a prick? i understood him saying "unfortunately" as in it is unfortunate that it got leaked before Coach Harsin could tell the team himself, not unfortunate that it's TJ. could be wrong, though.

Y’all think I’m being a conspiracy theorist. Harsin isn’t dumb, he’s building a really good rapport with these national ESPN guys in case of a worst case scenario where he needs to keep blame from him if he gets fired.

What does he owe Auburn reporters? The ones who fan the flames of the coup and will always have a positive view on Auburn football. We know Pete Thamel is a scumbag but most other teams’ fans don’t have a reason to dislike him.

Anyways, very disappointing that Harsin couldn’t tell them first then leak it to ESPN.

Ain't no building required. He's had a good relationship with them since his Boise days. He built it when he needed to get Boise to continue being noticed on a national stage.

I would like to know if this is true or not? I have seen nothing of real proof that says Harsin did this. If he did, then that is fricked up, but until I see some real proof of him doing it, I will hold my condemnation.

He’s definitely setting the national guys up with scoops and info so they will write about him in a positive light when the inevitable happens.

In this case though, I’m guessing Low ran the story early or Harsin screwed up the timing himself. I don’t think it was intentional.

Don’t think it’s a huge issue but some will recall this moment when the 2nd half of the season rolls around and things get challenging

Hoke is the only one I've seen report that it was Harsin directly.

if Harsin thinks 'building a good rapport' with Chris Low and Pete Thamel is more important than gaining the trust of his team, he isn't dumb, he's fricking brain dead

Hoke said it I’m pretty sure, not a huge fan of Hoke but his team info is usually good.

Any Auburn fan in message boards knew TJ was going to be the starter it’s just the optics of how it was announced.

No coach could succeed at Auburn with the same situation the Harsin has been dealt.
The Harsin bunch always overlooks the fact that he dealt half the cards himself.
