Same. Just watched the Finley highlight tape. He did some really good things and moves quick for how big he is. Let’s do this shite.

With a few breaks we could pull off a 7-5 season

Watching that video also made me remember how many touchdowns we missed out on from poor reads. Just clean those up and we have some games ast year go other ways.

No coach could succeed at Auburn with the same situation the Harsin has been dealt.

My problem here is players probably knew on their own who would be picked just by who is consistently showing great results during practice, and the whole seniority thing.

Personally I think all our top QBs being transfers or not starters where they left is the greater issue, they all are at a lower level other than Holden who is redshirt material.

When was the last time Auburn had a standout QB who wasn't a transfer of some type?

Cox? Campbell?

Yeah, that's true. I'm hoping all the QB development that has been brought in, and the WR development that was brought in will actually have worked over the last season to now. I don't think that was so much the case with the last admin which I had forgotten about.

If you consider Cox a Standout, then Bo Nix should too. Similar numbers for both in their career, and Cox didn't start until his Sophomore year. Cox's Senior year was his worse year. The win-loss record is better for Cox, but I would argue he had better teams. IMO, I wouldn't call either standout, but I still loved watching both play and glad they came to Auburn.

Campbell played for 4 different OCs and didn't become what I would call standout until Senior Year. Jetgate happened his junior year because folks wanted a better offense.

We have a roster of backup QBs and I’ve said that since January. They can’t gain separation because neither stands head and shoulders above the rest. I also said we would sloppily replace Bo. Considering Bo’s backup is now the starter you can definitely say I was right again. No wonder y’all hate me.

Consider this thread informative [jangalanged] since that’s what y’all want. I got plenty of receipts. Stay tuned.

Only argument I'd make for Cox (and by transitive property, Bo) being a standout is that he beat Alabama 3 times, hence why I asked the question if he was a standout.

Campbell was very strong his Soph year once he firmly took the job from Cobb. The 4 OCs were just unfortunate, which is also the same thing that happened to Bo.

In theory, you could draw many similar parallels to Bo and Campbell.

I understand. Bo was 1-1, and I believe he would have be 2-1 had he played last year. Obviously Bama that Bo played is on a different level then the Bama's that Cox played. Cox also played for Borges his whole career at Auburn. After his senior year Tubbs went with the Tony Franklin Experiment.

Hell, in 07 Cox didn't even start every game since they started Burns in at least 1 game IIRC.

And 2-1 would've been the perfect summary of the Bo Nix Experience. When it's good, it's amazing (Oregon 2019, that LSU TD, the A&M TD in '20, etc), but when it's bad, woof.

Bo was a statistically better passer with inferior receivers and had 800+ career rushing yards compared to Cox’s -400.

Y’all are weird af

Dude, Cox’s best receivers were 2 walk ons, after 2005

After 2005 I’ll take Courtney Taylor, Prechae, Montez Billings, and Rod Smith against what we had last year.

Bo also had a speed demon with no hands and Seth which loafed in 2020

Don’t even get me started comparing Bo’s RBs and OL to Cox’s either.

Yes sir. I don’t know why we have to compare Bo to an Auburn fan favorite like that anyhow. Most of the time it’s better to not do so.
