Bruce is the best coach since Pat Dye, but the fact that the program overall has faceplanted for three seasons in a row now is alarming.

Bro I said Bruce was responsible for the roster but this isn't football you miss on one or 2 and you're in a bad spot. You can't load up 4 deep at every spot.

All it takes is one that can shoot consistently from 3 and it opens the floor up. we just don't have it. accept it and hope for better next year. Bruce is doing a good job with what he has. He needs a portal and a high school 2.

'21 was a shite show because of the ncaa bullshite and even more bullshite about Cooper because his dad was Okoro's agent. No reason he should have been punished for his dad being an agent. Plus the Powell injury and lost a lot of guys off the previous squad and was going youth movement

'22 we won the fricking conference with terrible guard play

'23 we are ranked 15th and on the 5 line currently.

You do realize Auburn basketball in history is basically Vandy football, right?

We will be favored over UGA, OM, Mizz and Vandy. Would love to steal one of the UT or UA at home games and 1 of the road games other then the Vandy game.

‘21 didn’t make the tournament.

‘22 started off strong but got exposed as the season went on. Couldn’t win an SEC tournament game or make the second weekend in the NCAA tournament as a 2 seed.

‘23 in jeopardy of not making the tournament.

Who would’ve thought after making the Final Four in 2019 we wouldn’t even have a Sweet 16 to our name 4 years later?

4 years later? The tournament was canceled one of those years (and we had a pretty good shot that year) and hasn’t happened this year

That style of coaching was one missed double dribble call from the championship game

He has my permission to coach how he see’s fit.

We were offensively handicapped in 2020 as well, but not near to the extent as now.

That team was 33rd in KenPom Off Eff and 25th in scoring offense. Now add in the fact that it was one of the most veteran teams in the country and the one young starter was a top 5 pick in the draft, and you have the kind of team you want in the tourney. You can keep being wrong if you like though.

We had gotten healthy and on a roll in Feb/March 2020 till the covid BS started. Isaac Okoro had figured out how good he was (much like Chuma the year before), and we could play any style we needed to match up with our opponent.
That team had a legitimate shot at another Final 4.

2021 was a CF due to the NCAA crap.

Last year and this year we lack an elite shooter.
That is the difference in a team that goes cold against good defense and gets their arse whipped, and a team that can put together a run against good competition.

If we had a McCormick, or Brown, or Cooper on this team it would be a different story.

It’s almost as if we cannot get down too much or our guys try to take it upon themselves vs playing team ball. That’s when it starts to get out of hand such as last night

Jus have to keep it close and not panic

Yeah I agree this team sucks playing from behind. We can’t dig ourselves holes like we did last night. Not built for it

I know Auburn's basketball history, and this is the most Auburn post ever.

Just like football, a coach beats bama and we give him a huge extension and buyout because of emotions. Then pay $18M in the buyout when we have to fire them.

Yep, the Auburn way.

Bruce has Auburn basketball.. AUBURN BASKETBALL.. as the most winning SEC program over the last 5-6 years. Not sure how you are comparing this to simply beating Bama in football. This would be more akin to to extending your football coach because they won a couple SEC titles, had 11 wins in 5 out of the last 6 seasons, and lost in the natty one year.

Are you seriously suggesting we will have to fire Bruce in the near term future? Egregiously bad post.

This is nothing like football. And your notion is quite honestly absurd.
