I wouldn’t say they aren’t SEC caliber, but they can’t be primary scoring options on a really good SEC team. Too small to finish consistently against length and not consistent enough 3 point shooters. You can put KD in that mix too. It can work well with one of those types in your primary guard rotation, but it’s tough with three.

On ball pressure from bigger guards is going to kill us until they graduate, especially on Green. I suspect that's why Pearl is playing Westry through his struggles. We're going to need him to play 20+ minutes in the SEC. I'm curious why Donaldson is sitting because I thought he looked good in Israel and when he's played. He's bigger and has more length as well.

Westry, Tre, and Traore are all playing like typical freshman. Game is moving fast for them and they get lost on where they are supposed to be on both ends of the court. Increasingly there are freshman that come in and make a seamless transition from high school to high level college basketball. However, that is still the exception rather than the norm. Our freshman seem to be on the traditional path. Hopefully things slow down for at least Westry by middle to late conference play.

Zep and WG should be role players on an SEC team. Zep sticks out right now because there’s no scoring option on the floor.

Last year, Zep was fantastic in his role as a primary defender and facilitator. He can’t play that this year.

Looks like Memphis was much better than we thought. If Davis doesn’t get hurt they win last night. Hope we have a better showing tonight. Also I hope Bruce has his foot up Wendell, KD and Broomes asses all week getting ready for USC.

I always thought Zep was overrated last year as a facilitator. No he didn’t turn it over much, but he also never created open shots for teammates or kept the defense off balance. He’s definitely a great on ball defender but he doesn’t really bring anything else to the table. JMO.

People have been critical of Flanigan again this year but I’ve personally been plenty happy with his play. Has shot it decently and turnovers are way down. I wish we would look to get him more shots actually

I still think he could be a solid offensive threat if he had a mind to be, but he’s like the least assertive guard of all time

Question, looks like I’ll be in town for the game tonight. Are they serving anything decent at the con sessions or should I hit the Hunter and watch the game on tv from the hotel? Edit… never mind hitting the game anyway..

The fact that Cambridge is shooting 45% from 3 at ASU has me convinced we are either cursed or need a shooting coach. It’s getting harder and harder to not attribute it to Person.

Yes our shooting mechanics have been gone since Person left. We have great schemers in assistants and recruiters but we definitely need a shot doctor

We have zero identity on offense, it looks like, the same shite from last Feb. What happened to all the drives with lobs and dish and dunks from early last season?

you can't get back cuts if everyone is sagging off shooters. Memphis left KD open to shoot as many 3's as he wanted to, same with many of our offensive players

Teams learned to run Wendell off the screen. He’s not fast enough to beat the pressure.

I really like Tre. I'm not sure why his minutes have gone. I know Westry has a much higher upside but Tre is solid every where just hasn't got the deep shot yet
