The addition of the transfer portal really effects how you recruit the QB position. Almost need a pure backup —a guy every few classes you’re confident won’t transfer after a year or two to pursue a starting gig. So in 2021, we have a more elite QB in McLaughlin. Perfect year to snag a guy like Crowder or the kid from Starkville

yes that was exactly my point. Regardless of how we feel about our WR recruiting think for a second about this. Our best current WR is from basically Tuscalooser and he never had a committable offer from bammer. To put it another way not all 4 star players are created equal. And yes I understand scheme differences and only throwing it 20 times some games. But to say our WRs talent is equal or even on par is not even remotely close.

Huge weekend for both basketball and football recruiting. Game Day. Should be an electric weekend for some of these new recruits especially the ones not from the SEC area.

Devin White signed with LSU to be a RB and look at the LB’er he became. Trevon Reed signed with us to be a WR and we wasted 3 good years there until he was a pretty good DB. It’s not always set in stone where your going to play, nor should be.
