I think if AU wants Groce they get him. Not sure tho where he is on the board. Same with Cameron Riley

I will forever hate State for getting Beniquez Brown.

quote:Yup.. There's film on him at a Rivals camp from before his JR year where he got whipped in one on ones. His JR in real game highlights looked solid though. Finishes plays well IMO.
I will take that bet.

3* ATH Desmond Tisdol told Keith AU is his leader. AU likes him as an ILB. Dilly is his area recruiter. T-Will his position recruiter.

If it's without pads on then it's pretty worthless. D has advantage. Hate seeing bull rushes without pads on.

4* OG Miller Merriweather-Lewis says AU has moved to #2 on his list behind LSU after his recent visit per KN. Plans to return again this spring & is also not gonna make a decision until after senior season

KN also had an update on QB target earlier in week. 4* Haynes King out of TX says still feels like a priority for AU even after Chip Lindsey left. Apparently he knew Dillingham from Memphis. Supposedly Dillingham has told King he's there top target at QB in this class. He visited for LSU game in the fall & came away impressed. He isn't sure when but plans to visit AU again at some point. Would like to have a decision in the summer. LSU might be the team to beat right now

RB Lee explains de-commitment from UF (247)
quote:
Clearwater (Fla.) Superior Collegiate Academy four-star running back Keyvone Lee de-committed from Florida last week. The 6-foot, 220 pound back explained his decision to open up his recruitment after being committed for nearly 11 months.
“I wanted the chance to look at all my opportunities, because it’s a big, tough decision,” Lee said. “It’s hard.”
The talented ball carrier listed an impressive list of suitors still in the mix for his next pledge.
“LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida is still in there. That’s about it.”
One program Lee singled out as really contacting him frequently before backing off his pledge was LSU and the Tigers running back coach Tommie Robinson.
“He was just like he’s coming to get me, no matter what it takes...I haven’t really got the chance to experience [LSU] yet or go there. I might go there to see what it’s about.”
Moving forward, Lee said he’s look for “loyalty and the truth” at the program he picks next. Did he not get that at UF?
“At Florida, I did. All the coaches, I love them. I just had to take a step back from it all and realize what I got.”
As far as his next commitment, look for Lee to take his time. He stated it would likely come in December during the Early Signing Period as the four-star recruit plans to graduate early.
The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Lee as the nation’s No. 98 overall prospect and the No. 7 athlete in the 2020 recruiting class.

No way a guy named Merriweather-Lewis doesn't go to a Louisiana school. It's his destiny. Manifest even.

Not being a smartarse but Merriweather-Lewis, Merriwether Lewis was half of the lead of Corp of Discovery, is that what where his surname comes from? The odds of there being no coincidence are rare I would think, though the spelling is not the same.
Savage you obviously saw the same thing, Im just curious, his parents fans of history or what, changing your surname is a little different than just naming your kid.

New Top247 is out today. Overall good news for AU commits. KN had the courtesy of doing the hard work for me on rankings changes
How AU commits and targets fared in the updated 247 rankings (247)
How AU commits and targets fared in the updated 247 rankings (247)
quote:
247Sports updated its Top247 for the class of 2020 Wednesday -- and as usual some Auburn commits and targets rose, while some fell.
We can all agree or disagree with the rankings, but the 247Sports rankings team put in lots of homework to come to these conclusions. The evaluations for this class didn't just begin during the 2020 recruiting cycle. They actually started a couple years ago as video highlights of 2020 recruits started getting posted back when some were freshmen.
Since then, more video has been watched and dozens of in-person evaluations took place at everything from 7-on-7 events, Adidas, Nike and Under Armour camps, along with high school games in the fall.
Every member of the rankings team evaluates a little bit differently than the others. In the end, a lot of what goes into a ranking is the measure of one's long-term physical potential. In other words, who will be the best way down the road.
In the end, though, rankings are purely subjective.
More evaluations will come. Multiple rankings updates will follow.
For now, though, here's a look at how the Auburn commits and targets fared in this update.
