Thanks 24, I mentioned the same thing a few days ago, a year aint gonna make any difference. If we do get Putnam, Webb and Morris to go with Jones, then we are talkin....okay Ill step away from the ledge....and put down the crack pipe.

No idea about Horton. He had regressed badly. Maybe a change of scenery is needed.

Some glimmer of hope on Haselwood. KN said a source really plugged in on GA kids believes AU is still very much in the race for Haselwood despite the abbreviated visit. Tigers expect to host him again before it's all said & done. KN also says that Haselwood has taken plenty of visits in past to AU that weren't reported or discovered until a few weeks later
KN seems a bit skeptical that AU is still a major threat but did say this source would know if they were so TIFWIW

Is Alaric Williams recommitting when ready out of tbe question at this point? He was committed but didn’t qualify.

Haven't heard his name mentioned. I think awhile back KN said AU probably would not pursue

This thread is always depressing when we suck. I tell myself every year that my mental health would be much better if I just avoided it altogether, but I can't. The Auburn man in me is too strong.

AU was in a very good spot after September and then crapped it all away. I still think AU will finish with a solid class but there was a time there was a legitimate chance at a top 5 class. Now I'm not sure if we finish top 10

At least the past couple of years we have recruited good on defense (CB is still questionable), so at least if we miss some guys this year it doesn't kill us... We are getting killed on offensive recruiting though.
I honestly think we have to make a move at OC after the season. Freeze would be the obvious guy to help with recruiting, but I think at least someone else will have to go.. most likely Horton. Grimes just got here and I don't know if they would want to replace him so soon, same for Porter, and Kodi has been good as a coach and recruiter.

I think we put too much stock in Ws & Ls as it relates to recruiting. We just need a few more dynamic recruiters in key positions.
