It's hurting everything right now
Sure does seem like we've made a move with Putnam tho. Him & Keiondre Jones is would be a very good OG pair to bring in. Still need to find a tackle

I agree.
Keiondre Jones + Putnam would give us two top 10 OG’s.
There’s just not much left at OT.

I’ll say this on Osborne - that guy finishes every single play. He puts his guy on the ground more often than not

I like Osborne. There definitely won't be concerns about him not being tough enough mentally
Would feel even better if we could add another OT. Not even asking for an elite guy just one with some upside like Osborne.

Problem with this is we're going to have to play Putnam at OT

There are some 3* players that other coaches want/wanted that I will happily take all day.
OL from TCU: since 2000, Gary Patterson has put a lineman in the league 6th round or better 7 years (a few more in later rounds) and those recruits were rated mostly no better than 2, 3*s coming out of high school, some not rated. Pretty good for TCU. I'll take Osborne.
Other obvious examples: DL from Clemson (Wooden), S/CB from Muschamp, defensive player from VT.

Probably not popular, but I don't mind us not getting Cain. We have Boobie and Asa Martin who are both young and I can't say for sure he's better than either one. He's good don't get me wrong, but I don't know that he's elite either.
Honestly we need Webb more than any T imo. Our top 3 OT's will back back next year (counting Ashley here), so all we need is a couple of guys for Grimes to develop. We don't know if Brahms is good enough at C yet, but we know Kim isn't.
I'm assuming Hall is who Pappoe said he basically got a commit from.. Love the fact that someone said our players came together in the locker room instead of being mad and pointing fingers. It doesn't get talked about enough imo, but we have some great leaders on this team.

OT is just a hard position to project to college. There are numerous cases of OTs like Driscoll and the guy from Rice that weren’t sought after and then they blossom. There are many more where the recruiting ranking held true. The safest bets are to land the Cam Robinsons and Martez Iveys out there but every football factory knows that and we don’t win them battles.

I don't mind missing on Cain either but we do need to add a RB this class. Too many injuries and unknowns at that position. Asa could transfer. Boobie could get hurt etc..
You think Bama says "we don't need to recruit a rb this class since we have Najee Harris, and Damein Harris"
No...They go after the #1 RB in the class Trey Sanders.

We need Webb for sure, but our need for OTs is huge. I don't ever see Calvin being able to move well enough to play OT. Trox will get there but Sammons won't. Bailey Sharp is a great backup. We need 2 OTs this class and 2 or 3 next class

Let's be real. We just need quality OL across the board whether they are tackles or guards

At this point yeah we have no choice

Truer words have never been spoken lol. And I agree we do need to bring in a RB, but I'm OK with it being someone other than Cain.

I just want to see a big back, one that can push the pile on 3rd and short
Posted on 9/18/18 at 4:13 pm to jvilletiger25
Any decent juco backs? If we cant get our top priority guys could that be an option?

We still have Harold Joiner too. From the little he's played I've liked what I've seen. Also looks like he has the frame to put on more size.

KN says Justin Osborne has left IMG and is back in Texas. No info on why just yet
Posted on 9/18/18 at 8:36 pm to TigerPaw1
Sooo does he play somewhere the rest of the year?
Posted on 9/18/18 at 8:39 pm to TigerPaw1
I don’t know how that’s good
