What are we basing these opinions that none of the backups are future SEC quality QB’s? The spring game? The whole 7 passes the Willis threw last season? The rain/wind filled spring game? Gatewood has been on campus for less than 8 months and Willis is a kid that has a ton of upside. I guess if a kids not a starter by the time theyfinish their redshirt year it’s time to ship them out?!?

Risky prospect for sure.
Great athlete, but an athlete with injury issues, and a bad passer.
I was disappointed when we missed on him. Can’t say I feel the same way now. Funny how things work out.

Sorry if you already posted Paw but Wolk said today that Auburn will be patient with Curry now because of those factors just stated.
Does Jalen Curry have a commit date

16 in the composite, however our avg star ranking is 7th.
If we add Puckett and Wooden this week, that would move us up to 11th overall, and we'd only be behind Texas and Ohio St as the highest ranked class with only 15 commits.

Wiltfong was told by Diabate his top 5 are AU/A&M/BAMA/LSU/UF
Supposedly AU has made up a ton of ground but I am guessing it was too little too late but we will see

I wish whoever was in recruiting all these DBs and WRs would start helping with the O line recruiting already.

I’d rather have someone that actually teach technique

Zion Puckett jumped to #114 in Rivals 250. Was previously unranked
Handy moved up 2 spots to #129
Keiondre Jones at #143
Jashawn Sheffield fell out of Rivals 250

Has 247 reflected the Rivals bumps yet?

No KN said maybe by end of week

Any chance Nix or Pickens move up to 5-star? May be a dumb question but I don't really follow the rankings super closely.

I think Pickens will, don’t think it’ll be enough for Nix to get there.

Not sure but Pickens is still 95th in ESPN so probably not just yet

It's updated.
Pappoe is 10
Pickens is 40
Nix is 44.
ESPN gotta step up and give these boys some bumps because 247 is stuck on the WR ahead of Pickens and that Nix isn't a 5* caliber prospect.

Good news is they are both playing UA All-America Game which is event ESPN covers. I think a strong week there & Pickens gets inside top 50 on that site as well
Good to see Pappoe back in the top 10 overall

No surprise but Bama mods & Wiltfong CB'd Diabate to UF

I noticed a lot of bama fans melting on twitter over the Rivals update. Apparently a lot of their cruits dropped in rankings again

For what it’s worth fellas George still needs a 32 spot jump from any of the sites combined and Bo needs a 48 spot jump for those boys to be a five star. If George has a strong season I think he’s a five star before the All-Star games. I think Bo is going to have to beat Spencer rattler head to head at the under armor game and week to get his fifth star.

Catching up on KN's insiders. Here's summary of one he had Tuesday evening
- The fact 4* OG William Putnam is not announcing this summer is probably good news for AU. Many thought he was trending FSU this summer. Instead, he will wait to take his OVs. He plans to use his AU OV for the LSU game. KN says AU is very much in this race & it would not be a shock at all if they won this battle. Calls out Tim Horton as the recruiter leading the charge. KN apparently knows Putnam's coach well & can vouch to how much he respects Horton
- Confidence continues to grow that AU will flip Tennessee commit 3* DT LeDarrius Cox
- AU has a good problem right now at DB. Few spots & lots of options. AU leads for 4* CB Zion Puckett, 3* CB Nehemiah Pritchett & 3* S Kenny Logan while also remaining a major factor for 4* CB Cam'Ron Kelly & 4* CB Devin Bush. AU is being patient with Pritchett & Logan. They love both guys but with limited spots & big time interest they wanna make sure they get the right people
- 5* OT Wanya Morris remains the top OT target but KN gave a new name to watch moving forward, 4* JUCO OT Bamidele Olaseni. Also AU's interest in UF commit 4* LB Tyron Hopper continues to grow & he will probably OV
- Interesting final nugget. KN says he asked the mom of a current AU commit which head coach was her favorite, she said Kristi Malzahn. Obviously she's not the head coach but the parent's point was nobody did a better job of making them feel at home like Kristi. KN says this isn't the first time a parent of an AU commit has said that Kristi played a big role in their decision
