Cord Sandburg is supposed to commit tomorrow. Most people expect it to be Auburn.

Is Sandburg eligible to play now like 2018?

Cord Sandberg signs letter of intent to Mississippi State

So how many seasons might he be around?

Cord will essentially be a 2018 signee. 5 years to play 4 and is eligible for 2018 season

Is it time to start the melt over Booth? He seems to be trending Clemson pretty heavily. Also, how would Cord fit into the current QB situation behind Stidham? Seems like Cord all but guarantees a gatewood position change or transfer.

Think of him like Stovall was, a holder and someone who can bring maturity to the locker room. I can't imagine he ever gets any meaningful snaps at QB.

That is a relief. I mean if he proves to be good enough then by all means play him but with a QB like Nix coming in it just seemed like a strange move.

Name checks out . He just visited Clemson on Friday, so I'd be surprised if they weren't hearing some good things.

Well if he doesn’t end up visiting before Wednesday then I guess a melt would be justified. If we don’t land Booth then we better get Haselwood to Pat Dye’s cabin immediately

Strange move? Given the shitshow we’ve had at the QB position since Marshall left, how can anyone think this? If Sean White taught us anything, it was that you have to have a quality backup at the QB spot.

We have two young QBs with raw talent and one of the most highly touted QB recruits we’ve landed in years is on the way.

Malik Willis is far better than JFIII was and could absolutely win games for us if Stidham was to go down. Would we see a substantial step back? Yes, but I would only be seriously concerned if Stidham came down with a serious injury. Willis can ball.

I was living in the Tampa area back in 2011/12 when Sandberg was playing for Manatee. He seemed like the perfect fit for Mullen’s offense... stocky kid who was raw as a passer but physical.

This guy was a legit prospect... he can be good if given the opportunity.
