He didn't do much at The Opening but a big part of that was he was on same team as Jadon Haselwood, George Pickens & Dominick Blaylock. Three top 50 WRs
And he was injured.

I hate to break it to you but barring Pruitt getting in a scandal & getting fired, UT tanking won't hurt them with Wanya. He is on record numerous times saying he wants to be apart of a rebuilding project.

Did he not watch our Oline the past few years? How much more of a rebuilding project does he need?!

What’s Booth’s timetable? Before senior season?

Ya he's consistently said summer. Consensus appears to be decision will come in August. My guess is he visits both AU & CLEM that final week of July then has a decision soon after

Like E said a few pages back, chance he and teammate Colby Wooden could announce around same time. Should also not Clemson is recruiting his buddy & teammate 3* S Jalyn Phillips really hard too

Nobody's certain. Looks like he's keeping it close to the vest.

Cam Newton has replaced Pat Dye's Cabin as UGA's fans recruiting boogey man. Some gems from the UGA board recruiting thread
quote:

What is Auburn selling to get all these guys there? There not a rising program, they don't have an amazing college town, not the greatest academics, and their arch rivals seem like the best 2 programs in the SEC for the near future.

quote:

Auburn is essentially getting unlimited recruiting access through Cam’s 7on7 team. That’s the biggest thing right now. Auburn fans will claim otherwise, but Gus is using that “AAU” style approach to football recruiting. Also, Gus is selling immediate playing time. They have not recruited well so their depth is awful.

As for Pappoe and Booth specifically, I don’t think either are actually from the state of Georgia. Like most transplants, they don’t mind venturing out. We’ve been hearing similar stuff about Haselwood. Although, Oklahoma is our biggest threat.

Clemson 247 reporter Anna Hickey on Booth
quote:

— Couple of 247Sports Crystal Balls were recently entered in favor of Auburn by Georgia reporters Rusty Mansell and Kipp Adams for Composite five-star cornerback Andrew Booth.

I'll have more on Booth on Sunday night in "Last week in recruiting" but after speaking to a source last night I'm continuing to keep mine on Clemson unless I get new information.

FWIW I trust Rusty's GA sources over hers. As an UGA homer him CBing someone to AU is usually a pretty good sign because you know he doesn't wanna

Donte Starks took a big drop in rankings too yesterday. LSU fans were going ballistic yesterday on 247 between Starks, Kardell Thomas, Noah Cain, Trey Palmer & Devonta Lee all falling

It's going to be awesome watching thUGA come back to reality this year. They think they are Bama all the sudden.

Another random note. UGA 247 had an article on the top guys their 5* DE Nolan Smith is recruiting to the Dawgs. No mention of Pappoe.... Nothing earth shattering but continues to reinforce that Pappoe is pretty darn solid to AU right now. Interestingly, Smith included Haselwood who is the only guy on that list already committed to UGA....

My favorite is when ppl use the "they are selling early playing time" as some sort of negative. In today's world, you HAVE to do that or kids aren't coming. I mean both Tua & Najee Harris have admitted they considered transferring until they got a chance to play in 2nd half of national championship. We lost Antwuan Jackson in part because he didn't feel like he was going to see enough snaps. Guys wanna play early so you sell idea that you will have a chance to compete for a spot

But we also lose a ton of talent off this year's roster so Gus ain't lying either

I will not be upset if we miss on him. Even before his fall from grace nothing about him screamed Elite to me. How has he done in camps?

I definitely won't be mad if we get him. He seems like a steady consistent back to me like a CAP.

I don't think it will happen this year because their schedule is such a joke, but it is hilarious they believe they have suddenly gone from one of the most underachieving programs to being on par with one that is probably on the greatest run we've ever seen.

My understanding is he's been solid on the camp scene but he's been outshown by a few guys (Trey Sanders, John Emery, Tyrion Davis). But I think his fall was a little too steep. I think he's a borderline Top 100 player

He would do work in our system though. Good lateral quickness and powerful. Doesn't necessarily have elite top end speed but that hasn't stopped other backs from being really good in Gus's system
