Marcello says he's heard from his own sources AU expects a WR commit in the next week or so
Not a huge surprise but further confirms we made a huge push for Dunmore

Ya we have such a hard time with running backs every year

Will we ever be like our rivals and reload 5 star RBs under Gus?
Better way to melt would be, to say "why do all our 5 star RBs bust? Dyer, Roc, Jovon?"
See, thats how an Auburn fan melts. But honestly we don't need a 5 star RB...we have had 1k rushers since what, 2009? Led the SEC in rushing 5 out of the last 8 years? We good.

Here are the 5* RB's we've had: Dyer, Roc, and Jovon (the second time around)... but maybe one day we can achieve the running greatness of bama and UGA.

Auburn has had 10 1,000 yd rushers in 9 years frick a 5 star

Just think how much better he would have been had he gotten those extra points.

No doubt his shoulder stays attached with those extra 0.0028 pts

I mean, theoretically speaking, he would have been

Ehhh, I think you're going down the logic of if he were better he would have gotten the extra points, whereas some are arguing that gaining more points would make someone a better player.

KN put up a VIP article this morning on who might commit next. Here's quick summary
4* WR John Dunmore - AU/PSU battle with a decision possibly coming as soon as Friday. AU trending up
4* WR Jalen Curry - Might decide to commit at The Opening. AU is team to beat. Big question is whether AU would take both Curry & Dunmore
4* OG Keiondre Jones - KN expects decision in next 4-6 weeks. AU appears to be leader over UF & MSST
3* DE Colby Wooden - AU/CLEM battle with AU possibly having pulled ahead. Plans to commit in August
4* Buck Derick Hall - Wants to commit before school starts. AU/MSST battle with both feeling good about their chances
5* CB Andrew Booth - Wants to commit in summer but no date set. AU/CLEM battle with it going back & forth daily
4* CB Zion Puckett - AU leads Bama & OHST. Plans to commit in fall but chance he moves that date up
3* CB Nehemiah Pritchett - AU leads & plans to visit again in July. AU might push for Pritchett or wait to see what Booth/Puckett do

This could be an epic class. Gus doesn't get the pub on recruiting because of Saban, but man he always puts together a solid class.

quote:.0023 points from being a 5*. 5* is .9834 or better or a 42.5 overall rank order average or better. Scout had him in the high 70s-low 80s which kept him from a 5*.
KJ was 0.0028 points from a 5* in 2015 (6 spots)
If they deleted the history of Scout rankings since they don't exist anymore he would be a 5* with a 37.66 rank order average.

And we do a damn good job of recruiting for need, with OT the lone spot where we have to improve. I think we have the recruiters on staff now to help JB get it done. He is a coach, first and foremost. But kids like him once they get to know him.
Pairing Porte, or Kodi with JB along with others is going to pay off. I believe in JB as a solid fundamentals coach. He helped Leff, and Slade become good SEC OL. Not something anyone thought possible before.

If they end up doing this, do we get to retroactively claim that KJ won the Heisman?

I have faith that we can find a bell cow out of Whitlow, Joiner, Asa/Kam Martin. That doesn’t include Malik Miller even.
Those first four are all elite athletes.

KB doing work in the WR recruiting department. He needs to start helping with OL. Cause it doesn't matter what "skilled position" players we have if the OL sucks.

Believe that is the plan. JB can coach, but putting a younger guy with him on some kids would be ideal.
