IMG Academy OL commits to Auburn (Rivals)
quote:
AUBURN | Justin Osborne has committed to Auburn.
Osborne, an offensive lineman from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., announced his decision Sunday on Twitter.
“After some thought on where I was going to go next in life, I knew deep down in my heart [Auburn] was the right place for my family and I,” Osborne said via Twitter. “I am proud to say I am committing to Auburn University!!”
Osborne’s decision comes one week after leaving an official visit to Auburn and five days after de-committing from TCU. Osborne had been committed to the Horned Frogs since February, but reopened his recruitment June 19, just two days after leaving his Auburn visit.
Osborne is the Tigers’ 12th commitment in the 2019 class after Cordale Flott switched his commitment to LSU Sunday morning. Osborne is the fourth player to commit to Auburn in the past eight days and second in the past two days. Mississippi defensive lineman Jamond Gordon committed on June 16, Jaren Handy on June 18 and Jashawn Sheffield on Saturday.
Osborne joins Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) Jakai Clark as Auburn’s two offensive line commitments.

Rivals100 WR visits Auburn, could announce soon (Rivals)

quote:
AUBURN | Rivals100 wide receiver John Dunmore could announce his commitment soon, and it would be good news likely for one of two schools.
“I’ll probably make a decision at The Opening (June 30-July 3) or after I come home,” Dunmore said. “Right now, Penn State and Auburn are really up there.”
Dunmore announced his commitment plan after an official visit to Auburn this weekend. The four-star from Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) and his parents spent Friday-Sunday in Auburn.
“It was a great visit,” Dunmore said. “It was my first time coming up with my father and mother and we all liked it. It was a great experience.”
Dunmore admitted he was a bit surprised by his first visit to Auburn.
“I was impressed,” Dunmore said. “Before I got up here, I thought it would be all country, but I came up and gave them a chance and was impressed.”
Dunmore spent time during the weekend with Auburn receiver Eli Stove and running back Shaun Shivers. Shivers and Dunmore are former high school teammates.
“(Shivers) told me to come up and see for myself,” Dunmore said. “He was like me. He thought the same way I thought, that Auburn would be country, but it’s actually nice.”
Dunmore also strengthened his bonds with Auburn wide receivers coach Kodi Burns and area recruiter Larry Porter. The two coaches are two reasons Dunmore is high on Auburn.
“Kodi Burns, we have been talking and building a relationship for two years,” Dunmore said. “And Coach Porter, I can trust him. The coaches here can develop me. I also am cool with the players here, so it could be a good fit.”
Having a top quarterback committed in Bo Nix, as well as others, is another advantage for Auburn.
“That’s the key,” Dunmore said of Nix being committing. “Having a good quarterback is the key to getting me the ball. I also would be playing with George Pickens, Owen (Pappoe) and the other guys.”
Dunmore has taken an official visit to Penn State and one to Michigan. He doesn’t have any other visits scheduled at this time.
“I don’t know the other two (official visits), but if I were to take the other two, it would be during the season or after,” he said.
Rivals ranks Dunmore the No. 10 wide receiver in the 2019 class, the No. 8 overall player in Florida and No. 47 in the Rivals100.

He struggled at UF. It's really hard to struggle at UF.
I theory I agree, although I think they may have fired him a little early. Oh, and is it really hard to struggle at UF??

3 of the last 4 coaches have struggled there, 2 arguably worse than Muschamp.

Haven't heard much in the form of linebacker targets visiting since Trezman Marshall. Seems like Kalen Deloach is trending FSU & Donte Starks seems like a lock to LSU. Interested to see who we focus on for the other 2 spots there

If you have any HC ability, no. It's in the middle of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the nation. With the girls walking around that campus, it recruits itself. They just have not made very good hires in recent history.

Googily moogily Bo is recruiting his nards off for this class. Incredible that all of these elite WRs are willing to jump on what is a loaded depth chart already.
Mcsorley at PSU is a Sr (or leaving) afte rthis year right? Id imagine that a Stidham>Bo transition is catching all these guys' attention.

Except for 2 coaches that are arguably in consideration for the Mount Rushmore of coaching, Spurrier and Myer, they’ve never really got it right

KN followed up on nugget earlier this week on 5* DL Travon Walker. Walker was at AU bball camp & says Bruce Pearl told him he would take him for bball. Apparently Pearl & Gus would be cool with him playing both sports. Says he's started talking more with Rodney Garner & AU football coaching staff. They want him to visit for cookout event on July 28th & says he's gonna talk it over with family
Elite prospect? BBQ recruiting event? Bruce Pearl?
AU lock

FWIW JLee said a person close to Dunmore feels he will pick AU at The Opening next weekend.

Would we take Curry and Denmore?

I would think it’s a first come first serve situation with these two, I honestly think Dunmore’s strong interest was a shock. staff may be willing to just pass on Haselwood, which is a tough flip, and lock in two sure things. Who knows
Posted on 6/25/18 at 7:22 pm to Rhymenoceros
Just don't think they can take both with Haselwood still out there and needs elsewhere. Really wish we would tho because I don't think Haselwood flips

4* LB Christian Harris put AU in his top 4. Seems like Bama has backed off some on him and Aggies trending. LSU the other team to watch. Not sure how big a factor we really are. Think he's visited twice tho
