It's crazy to me that Asa Martin is not a consensus top 200 player

I don’t get it either... Martins not a “physical freak” like some others ( joiner for instance)... but he’s a very good RB who does a whole lot of things very well.
If AM stays healthy, he will put up some ridiculous numbers in our offense.

KN says that Grimes & Horton made an in home visit with 4* OT Richard Gouraige Tuesday. Apparently visit went very well & sounds like be might take an OV Feb 2nd. Expected to visit UF this weekend & CLEM/UF still considered top 2 teams but sounds like AU not completely out of that race
Would be huge to land that last visit

During his senior year, McCreary lit up the stat sheet in multiple ways. He rushed for 802 yards and 8 touchdowns. McCreary added 62 catches for 702 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He passed for 600 yards and 6 touchdowns. On defense — where Auburn sees him playing, he had 100 tackles, 8 interceptions and 14 pass breakups.
Wait.... he did all that in one season?? Are you sure he doesn't have an identical twin on the team??

LSU 247 reporting that JaMarr Chase will take an OV to AU on Feb 2nd. Very unlikely we land this kid but he's had a weird recruitment so if we can actually get him on campus, who knows what happens
Edit: Just realized it's not VIP

Five-star wide receiver JaMarr Chase is down to just two teams: LSU and Auburn.
Chase confirmed his final two teams on Wednesday evening, which came with the announcement that he would be choosing a school on ESPNU on National Signing Day, which is set for Feb. 7.
Chase had made official visits to both TCU and Michigan, but neither are in the running for the Top 20 prospect down the final stretch of his recruiting process.
The New Orleans native made his official visit to LSU earlier this month, where he was joined by multiple family members as they spent three days on campus with the new-look LSU staff, which included a chance to get more familiar with new offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger and new passing game consultant Jerry Sullivan, a longtime NFL wide receivers coach. LSU wide receivers coach and area recruiter Mickey Joseph has spearheaded Chase's recruitment.
Chase said he will make one final visit, to Auburn, on Feb. 3, just before NSD arrives. He was set to visit Auburn last weekend, but had to change his plans.
The nation's No. 4 wide receiver prospect on 247Sports was once briefly committed to Kansas last spring, but he quickly reopened his process. TCU was considered the leader for months, but after deciding not to announce at The Opening, Chase popped for the Florida Gators in July. Following the coaching changes in Gainesville, Chase reopened his process, once more.
Now, it's a battle between Tigers in the SEC West for his commitment.
Stay tuned to Geaux247 for more on Chase's final visit and decision next month.
LSU now holds a commanding lead on his 247Sports Crystal Ball, while Auburn has yet to receive any picks.

If AU is able to get both Gouraige & Chase on campus final weekend they will have the last visits of 2 of the more impressionable recruits. I don't see either landing with AU right now but man it could get interesting if those visits go down. We always seem to pull a recruit that looked hopeless out at the end of the year. Maybe it ends up being one of those guys
Keep the dream alive, AU finishes with Walker, Chase & Gouraige. Everybody faps

I want him just so I can peruse the Tiger Rant for the thousands of accusations of bagmen

I would love nothing more than for us to steal Chase & Surtain to go to Bama. The melt would just be too damn entertaining
FWIW KN says it's unlikely Matthew Hill sticks if AU lands Chase or Ross. However, both are announcing on signing day so just get the LOI in then swoop em both up

Great minds think alike
FWIW I am ok with that scenario because it just means we are replacing one top 100 WR with another. I really like Hill but I like Ross & Chase just as much

KN says there's a chance Gouraige takes an OV this weekend. Apparently UF wants his last OV due to him being prone to visit highs. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out.
Also KN says that Calvin Anderson will either OV Feb 2nd or Feb 9th. Apparently he's in constant communication with Gus & Lindsey as they try & sort it out.

Slow down there Paw
It wasn't hard to "land" Willis. He would have committed to any D1 school that offered the caliber of AU.
Narcisse may be a career backup
Lashlee also brought you Tyler Queen, Woody Barrett, and JJ.

I'm not arguing that Lashlee was a great evaluator of talent but I stand by my statement that he did some good work for AU right before he left. He was key in us reeling Malik Willis, Joey Gatewood & Jarrett Stidham
