Not sure. Still after him hard but signs still pointing to UGA

Are there any big RBs being looked at to go along with signing Martin and Shivers? With Pettway likely being gone now too, RB is looking pretty bleak for next year.

Martin is about 6 ft 200 lbs so it's not like he and Shivers are the same style.

No probably done at RB unless someone like Harold Joiner wants to jump on board which I don't see happening. FWIW Martin is listed at 5'11" 200 lbs. Him, Devan Barrett, JaTarvious Whitlow & Malik Miller are all big enough to be bellcow backs next season

We need to get on Keiondre Jones. Surely UGA is not going to be a promising place for a guard to go with all the young talent they already have there and he's close to Auburn.

He appears to be a top target. Clemson is one to watch with him tho. Both him & Curtis Fann

People talking about thUGA and Bama pulling recruits from Auburn, but this is the team that has pissed me off the past 10 years. Used to be unheard of. If a recruit was deciding between Auburn and Clemson, they'd choose Auburn 99% of the time.

Where is Joiner going?

We just got a CB for this new cornerback who is committed to USA. Benjamin Wolk is really starting to piss me off. He is doing a good job, but so much terrible news from him lately.
Really hoping this turns out to be one of those non-commitable type offers. We still have 2 months until NSD. Would rather us wait a couple more months before pulling the trigger on this guy. If we can't get anyone better by end of January then I say we pull the trigger on him.

His recruitment is blowing up right now. Alabama and Tennessee are both interested. Obviously Steele likes him. I'm not sure this is a "Sky is falling" type of thing.

There's no doubt Jackson lacks that elite top end speed but he's plenty fast enough to be effective. He's 6'0" 195 lbs as a sophomore in high school. Dude is probably gonna play around 6'1" 215+ lbs in college. That's a big back. With kids like that I am more concerned about lateral quickness than ability to outrun defenders in the open field. He moves really well for his size, is a very patient runner and does not go down on first contact. Also love that there's not wasted movement in his running style. No unnecessary jukes or spin moves, he just follows his blocks, finds some open field and busts loose
He's going to be a highly rated RB in the 2020 class
Thank you, it's amazing how offended some people get by discussing a recruit. I never said I hated the guy, just mad an observation about top end speed. Just for comparison sake I looked up Pettways 40 time coming out of HS and it's 4.53. I found Whitlows and he ran 4.47. I couldn't find Malik Miller's, but that's the one I'm most interested to compare him to.
ThaiTiger, be careful of not being in love with a CB recruit... you might get called out for it lol.

How do u know that's not the case? I could end up wrong but I suspect he won't commit until January after visits anyway. I don't think it's a done deal just yet we are taking him just that he's at or near the top of our backup CB list

I think the issue is you have been openly critical of every CB target that's not the guy you really like. Basically you aren't high on any of our CBs (including Tutt) which is fine if it wasn't for the fact that you seem to have a personal relationship with another recruit that you really want AU to offer. It's hard for people to take your opinion then as objective. You can find fault in really any prospect if you look hard enough
FWIW I think you have brought up some valid critiques & appreciate the discussions, just explaining why you have gotten some negative reactions

Roger McCreary has reopened his recruitment.
The little-known defensive back from Williamson High in Mobile is now a highly-coveted recruit by at least three SEC schools.
“I de-committed today from South Alabama,” McCreary said. “I’m now looking at Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee, and also Southern Miss. Those four schools are sticking out to me right now because those four schools are showing me the most interest.”
McCreary has been in contact recently with coaches from Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee. He’s scheduled an official visit in January to each of the three SEC schools.
Auburn, which offered McCreary on Tuesday, will get the first visit Jan. 12-14.
“Coach (Travis) Williams called me and said they are offering me,” McCreary said. “I was surprised. I thought they were going to wait until I visited, but he said he wanted to go ahead and offer me. That was exciting.”
McCreary will visit Alabama and Tennessee after he returns from his visit to Auburn.
“I’ll visit Alabama Jan. 19-21 and then Tennessee Jan. 26-28,” McCreary said.
Alabama and Tennessee have not offered, at least not yet. McCreary thinks that could change when he visits.
“I’ll wait until I take all my visits before I make my decision,” McCreary said. “All of them are recruiting me hard so those are the ones I’m going to look at the most."

Looking forward to our new resident film evaluator, jt## to give us his thoughts. It’s my interpretation that he has evaluated McCreary’s film. But he’s currently sparing us his thoughts
