Just listened to KN inn SEC recruiting buzz and feel a little better about JJ Peterson. He made it very clear that his best relationship with Bama was with Pruitt and he doesn't speak to a Saban much.
He also said that Auburn was his #2 school and he has the best connection with any coach with T-Will. Have to like our chances going forward.

We do though. We are not the state team in any of our recruiting beds. We have great resources to make up for it, but to say we are on equal recruiting footing as UGA or Bama , forgetting program success or anything, is just silly.
There is plenty of talent to go around down here, but being the state team will always be an initial advantage.

Bama just offered another 3* DL. Really think that's a good sign for Andres Fox. Bama has offered a few 3* DL recently

Loving all this recruiting news, but I'm not going to lie. If we sign Daniels or a juco CB over DT Stephens I'll be pretty disappointed. Cam Taylor I get and actually think he's really good just injuries hurt his recruitment, but on no planet is Daniels or a juco option better than Stephens regardless of stars.
With that said, I don't think we sign any of them. I think after the early signing period the coaches will be able to focus on landing another big time CB and that will be our big surprise this year instead of DL.

AU visited Trey Hill yesterday. Malzahn is saving his visit for after Hill's OV to UGA so he will probably see him sometime next week
Also Ohio State just landed a commit from 3* Matthew Baldwin. Will be interesting to see if Jones visits AU again here in the near future because it looks like the Buckeyes are moving on

Here's Franklin's highlight tape for those interested
Some of those INTs are due to god awful QB play but I like the fact he does good job of finding the football and making a play. Also fact that he does actually catch the easy picks. Also like his footwork. Does a good job of playing tight coverage without having to grab and pull on the WRs. Solid tackler too
Not a bad player. Not sure he would start over Javaris Davis or Jamel Dean but I think he could make it into the rotation

Speaking of DBs (this isn't recruiting related) we actually do return a lot of experience back there. We are gonna greatly miss Matthews & Roberts no doubt but it's not as dire as I thought it would be at start of season. We got five guys in Javaris Davis, Jamel Dean, Jordyn Peters, Jeremiah Dinson & Daniel Thomas have all seen meaningful snaps. Dinson, Roberts & Thomas could all play nickel or either safety spots. I think having those guys cross train all year is really gonna pay off next season
Interested to see if any of our DB recruits can crack starting rotation. I wouldn't be shocked to see Monday start at FS next season

Hasn't said but he usually explains his is daily articles when he makes a prediction so I am sure we will see something later today

Losing Hill would make me pretty salty for a while. We have to keep up with UGA recruiting if we want to stay competitive and losing Hill would be a HUGE loss for us. IMO, he is our most important remaining target.

If they get him and Salyer and that kid from Tenn together with what they got on the OL last year it might be a rough few years.
