Yeah, that's the guy. He's been singing LSU praises lately though.

I'm not really a fan of any of these rbs so far.

I've yet to look at any highlight films other than Shivers. Just seems too early for me and a waste of time as many I don't know if they're seriously interested or not. I would like another pounder so maybe Harold will be alright. But I also would like a Dalvin Cook type back as well. Which running back could that be?

Pretty sure he was the Security Guard at my HS!
BTW, we were not smoking weed! It was rabbit tobacco.

Joiner is a hell of a talent, I've watched him a couple of times. I don't know if RB will be his full time position in college though. He is a very good receiver as well, so even at his size, he'll be better used as an APB.

I really like Joiner, I am on the fence with Martin. Need to see how he does this year as the featured back again. I would love to get the Charles Strong kid committed to FSU. He's 6'1" 230 lbs and moves pretty well for that size. Also really like Master Teague's film, doesn't hurt his name is awesome too
If there is one position though I don't stress to much about it's RB. That's the one spot we have done a good job of finding someone that produces each year

The next 5 targets most likely to commit to Auburn (SECCountry)
Don't think I agree about us being favorites for Fox
quote:
It’s reaching the time of year — at least if the 2017 cycle was any indication — that Auburn’s commitment list will start to grow. Last year, the Tigers began a streak in May than ran through August before hitting a multi-month lull until Thanksgiving Day.
Auburn already started to gain steam this month when 4-star offensive lineman Jalil Irvin committed to the Tigers to give Auburn four commitments in 2018 — Irvin, Joey Gatewood, Shaun Shivers and Daquan Newkirk.
Who’s next? Let’s take a look at the five most likely candidates to be on board next.
4-star CB Jalyn Armour-Davis, Mobile (Ala.)
Armour-Davis is the top defensive player in the state of Alabama for 2018. He attended Auburn recently for a three-day, mid-week visit, which included a few practice sessions and plenty of time to hang out with the Tigers’ early enrollees and other players on the roster.
There’s no question Auburn has given him the “home feeling.” The question is whether Auburn will be able to fend off how impressed Armour-Davis was by his weekend visit to Florida State a month ago. Auburn has gone all-in on Armour-Davis, and he deserves that attention. Alabama may have re-entered the equation, which is also a potential roadblock.
But the No. 95 prospect in the nation received his first offer from the Tigers. That matters, he says. He wants to get this process out of the way ASAP, and the Tigers sit in as good of a position as anyone.
3-star LB Richard Jibunor, Athens (Ga.)
Jibunor is an athletic specimen who AU’s coaches have — somewhat jokingly — recruited to play safety, tight end and wide receiver. He’s going to play linebacker or a Buck defensive end-type role at the next level, but the reaction he gets from college coaches outside his position group is proof of his innate athleticism.
While only ranked a 3-star prospect, the schools recruiting him the hardest are Alabama and Auburn with nearby Georgia a close third. Miami, Michigan and South Carolina also have started to rev up recruiting efforts. Jibunor, a Nigerian native who was completely oblivious to the recruiting process a year and a half ago, is starting to get ready to decide.
He doesn’t want to show public favorites right now, but the way he talks about how he feels on Auburn’s campus and his relationship with Travis Williams compared to other coaches gives the Tigers a major advantage.
4-star WR Matthew Hill, Snellville (Ga.)
Hill visited for Auburn’s first junior day of the year. He expects to return for A-Day, if possible. When Hill went to the Plains, he donned full Auburn garb for the trip. In some cases, that could come courtesy of the host school. In Hill’s case, he grew up an Auburn fan because of family ties.
Aside from that, his relationship with Kodi Burns and Travis Williams runs deeper than it does with other college staffs. That doesn’t guarantee Hill to Auburn, but that is the likely trend at this point. He hopes to get make decision prior to the start of his senior season.
With a good A-Day visit, he could be on the fast track to doing so.
3-star DE Andres Fox, Mobile (Ala.)
Fox’s offer sheet has been growing more rapidly than 99 percent of prospects in the nation. Only a 3-star prospect by recruiting services, it appears college coaches view him as a 5-star. Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon and a dozen others are recruiting him as if he’s one of the top pass rushers on their board.
Auburn is no different, and Fox is feeling the love from the Tigers.
He has a strong bond with Rodney Garner and admires his in-your-face coaching style. As a south Alabama guy, this has the feel of an Auburn-Alabama-FSU battle until the end. The Tigers are the odds-on favorite to land the 6-foot-5 edge rusher.
He wants to make his decision over the summer, so he can “stay loyal” to a school through his senior season.
4-star WR Justyn Ross, Phenix City (Ala.)
Ross is the only one on this list who hasn’t explicitly said — to SEC Country Auburn at least — he hopes to get the decision out of the way before his senior season. As the top prospect in Alabama, he might end up dragging the process on further than expected, but Ross has been getting recruited by colleges as long as anyone.
Guys like that tend to be ready to finalize the process sooner rather than later. He’s been taking visits with more regularity, and most of those have gone to Auburn.
Ross seems like he’ll end up with the Crimson Tide or the Tigers, but Ohio State could be a dark horse if the Buckeyes continue their fervent recruiting of him.

Joiner talks Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and more (247)
quote:
To most colleges, Harold Joiner's stock has soared in the past couple months.
The 4-star running back from Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook now holds 20 offers.
But at Auburn, the Tigers were in on the 6-feet-3, 218-pound Joiner early. In fact, they offered last September, long before he became a national recruit.
Today, Auburn continues to recruit Joiner hard. Will it pay off?
It's probably too soon to tell. Right now, Auburn and LSU stand out. But with Joiner, the No. 7 running back in the 247Sports rankings, picking up offers weekly, he's in no hurry to commit.
What stands out with Auburn?
"They run a similar offense to us and they're pretty much a family down there, too," Joiner said.
As for his connection with Auburn running backs coach Tim Horton, Joiner noted, "I have a pretty good relationship with him. We talk at least once every other day. He just tells me that he wants to coach me. And how our offenses are similar and how I would fit in great."
According to Joiner, some college coaches (including those at Auburn), have compared him to former Alabama running back Derrick Henry and current Tide back Bo Scarbrough.
"I think it's accurate," Joiner said. "I have the speed and power and some of the coaches tell me I have better moves than both of them."

Speedy 4-star ATH Jaquayln Crawford, a ‘diehard Gator fan,’ considering Auburn, Florida (GridionNow)
quote:
Four-star athlete JaquayIn Crawford has begun narrowing his options and released his top 10 earlier this week.
“I’m definitely still open in my recruitment, but I do have a top 10 at the moment,” Crawford told GN.
Crawford (5 feet 9, 160 pounds), from Rockdale (Texas) High, is considered a top-25 athlete nationally in the class of 2018. Rockdale is about 45 miles west of College Station and about 60 miles northeast of Austin.
Among Crawford’s top 10 are both Auburn and Florida.
“Auburn runs an offense a lot like what I’m in now in high school, so I could see myself playing there,” Crawford said. “I also like Coach (Kodi) Burns, their receivers coach. He’s a real cool guy.”
Crawford has a connection to the Gators.
“Florida is my favorite school, and if I’m watching college football on Saturdays, I’ll be watching the Florida Gators,” Crawford said. “I have been a fan since the Tim Tebow days. I’m a diehard Gator fan, so it’s pretty cool that I have an opportunity to play for them.
“When I was young, I was a fan of whoever was winning. In 2006, when Florida won the title, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m a Florida fan now.’ Then, they won again in 2008 when I was starting to really understand football more and I was like, ‘Yeah, I really like Florida.’ Tebow and Joe Haden and Brandon Spikes — watching them, I was like, ‘Yeah, I think I’ll stick with this team.’ That’s how that worked. I’m a big Gator fan.”
Crawford knows exactly what he is looking for in a college destination.
“Playing early is real big for me,” Crawford said. “I want to go somewhere where I can play as a true freshman or redshirt freshman and not sit the bench for two, three or four years. I also want to be able to fit into their schemes both offensively and defensively.
“I want to go to a place that I enjoy and where I can see myself for the next three, four, or five years.”
Crawford, who says most schools are recruiting him as a wide receiver, will have a busy month ahead of him. He plans on visiting LSU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Baylor in that span.
Crawford sums up his game succinctly.
“Speed is my biggest asset,” Crawford said. “On either side of the ball, it’s hard to keep up with me. I won state four times in track, and that was just my freshman and sophomore years.”
Crawford won the state Class 3A 100-meter title in 2016 with a clocking of 10.53 seconds, and he also helped Rockdale win the 4×100 relay twice and the 4×200 relay once.

That's my opinion, not KNs. Based off the way he gushed about getting a Bama offer I think if they want him they get him

Were you a fan of Pettway when he signed?
How about 5-9/185 Tre Mason?

I was a fan of Pettway as a FB. I think most people expected him to be RB. I was a fan of Tre but I can imagine there were others that I wanted over him. It happens.

Of course.
And yet we still produce 1000 yard rushers.
Understand yet?
