4* WR out of Tuscaloosa. 6'3" 212 lbs but runs really well. He's got a chance to be an absolute monster at next level. There are some who think he's best WR in the state. Huge pickup

I don’t know much about him. I’ll let tigerpaw comment there.

The hope is he ends up at the Buck spot. He's gonna need to put on 20-30 lbs to do that. If that doesn't happen he could also play linebacker. The expectation though is he will take the Jeff Holland route and grow into a monster pass rusher at the Buck

Just getting on here and I see two of the guys I wanted most committed... Thanksgiving indeed. I think Seth Williams is the best WR we were after and I think Jibunor will continue the trend of very good players at the buck position for us.

Surprise! Auburn lands another Thanksgiving commitment (247)
quote:

One "Boom!' wasn't enough for Auburn on Thanksgiving. The Tigers have landed a second commitment of the day.

Four-star receiver Seth Williams of Cottondale (Ala.) Bryant made the surprise announcement on Twitter.

The 6-feet-3, 212-pound Williams is the No. 30 receiver and No. 154 overall recruit nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

Earlier in the day, 4-star buck linebacker Richard Jibunor of Athens Christian (Ga.) gave Auburn his commitment.

Now, the Tigers have 17 commits for the 2018 class. They have eight spots to fill.

Williams has been one of Auburn's biggest targets dating back more than a year.

Alabama, FSU and Ole Miss were other factors in his recruitment.

His commitment Thursday came out of the blue, even though AuburnUndercover.com has projected him to the Tigers. That's because he has not yet attended an Auburn game this season. That will change Saturday as he intends to be at the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

With this commitment, Auburn moved up to No. 12 in the 247Sports recruiting team rankings. The Tigers began the day at No. 14. At one point this summer, Auburn wasn't even in the top 50.

Auburn now has three receiver commitments. Williams joins 4-star Matthew Hill of Georgia and 3-star Shedrick Jackson of Alabama. Jackson is nephew to Auburn legend Bo Jackson.

The Tigers might very well be done at receiver, but potentially would add another if they view that prospect as elite.

BREAKING: Wide receiver Seth Williams becomes Auburn’s 17th commitment (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn’s recruiting class went back for seconds on Thanksgiving.

After Richard Jibunor committed earlier in the day, 4-star wide receiver Seth Williams announced his commitment to the Tigers. The 4-star wide receiver from Tuscaloosa (Ala.) becomes the 17th commitment in Auburn’s Class of 2018.

This means, in one day, Auburn grabbed commitments from Tuscaloosa and Athens — the city of the Tigers’ two biggest rivals.

Williams is the third wide receiver committed in the 2018 class, joining Matthew Hill and Shedrick Jackson. He’s one of the top-ranked players in the state of Alabama.

With the commitment, Auburn moves up another spot to No. 12 in the recruiting team rankings. The Tigers were 14th at the beginning of the day. They cleared Michigan with Jibunor’s commitment and UCLA with Williams’ commitment. Auburn is on the heels of No. 11 Texas A&M.

Williams has been recruited heavily by Auburn since the beginning of the process despite being a student-athlete at Paul W. Bryant High in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Since the spring, Auburn wide receivers coach Kodi Burns singled out Williams as a top target. That relationship had a big role in the Tigers’ good standing with Williams.

“We good. We text and talk at every chance we get. He talks with my dad and my mom all the time, too,” Williams said in the spring. “He’s cool. He understands where you’re coming from. He played in the national championship against Oregon when they played. He’s real cool. He’s young like you. He came through Auburn.”

Great pickups today

If we can hold on to Mathew Hill and steal Ross from Clemson would be a gnarly WR class. There's also some chatter that Kyle Davis could return to the team next season.

KN thinks AU will take another WR. Says heard from a source that AU isn't done at WR. Won't take 5 so final spot will either be Ross or Schwartz
