That's surprising given that like 95% of the CBs are for UGA.
Wrong Hill.

Aaahhhhh. Right. That is where the confusion comes from. I was thinking Trey Hill.

So apparently Carlito Gonzalez enrolled at Memphis...

How does that even happen?

Mistake on his part. He should've gone to Junior College and restarted his recruitment.

FWIW I asked Rusty Mansell if Carlito still counts to AU's 25 limit since he enrolled at another D1 school & he said he shouldn't. Rusty seems to get the rules pretty good so I asked him. If true then there is another spot to sign a player in 2018.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with your opinion. Just saying it's not cut & dry & depends on the individual.

Yeah if he's any good and has a shot at the NFL he will still get that at Memphis, and he doesn't have to go to bumfrick Kansas or MS to play Juco ball

Memphis
I would definitely try my chances at JUCO to get rerecruited. Auburn and South Carolina would both almost definitely offer him again. Some of these kids need to grow up and be humbled anyways.

quote:I wouldn't bet on that. The number of kids who don't get reoffered after juco by the school they signed with out of HS is just as high if not higher than the ones who do get reoffered. Situations & needs can change drastically over 2 or 3 years.
Auburn...would...almost definitely offer him again

They do change, but Auburn has seemed very loyal to original signees.
Jovon Robinson
Jason Smith
Daquon Newkirk (so far, even though he didn't "sign" with Auburn, IIRC)
Alaric Williams (we'll see)
The sample size is small, but it's there.

quote:It's also incomplete. See Earnest Robinson & Darrion Hutcherson. That's 60% (3 out of 5) for resigning with AU with 1 pending. Not overwhelming evidence to support a statement of AU would almost definitely resign him.

Talking to my wife about this tonight: if you have the talent, the NFL will find you. Just look at an NFL roster and see where the kids are from.
