Any recruited player on any kind of scholarship counts toward the football scholarship limits.

Yes it is the norm, but they don't get to practice with the team as a greyshirt. Only a redshirt enjoys those perks. Unless of course the greyshirt's practice in the Bama secret underground practice facility.

This is what I thought, although he could accept an academic scholarship and begin classes with NO participation with team and not count, correct? Or would he have to completely pay his own way?

Are these just informative posts? I'm not seeing a point in anything you're saying.

If you grey shirt, you can still redshirt later on.

I understand son. I am referring to a player that is greyshirting today will not be practicing with the team like a player that maybe headed to redshirting coming in. This is not an argument or to prove anything. Just adding info. Hope that is helpful.

Parks took his turn at the table during the school's National Signing Day ceremony and got very emotional.

"(God) has a plan. He will never leave me or forsake me and for that I will always lean on him," Parks told hundreds in the school auditorium while wiping tears.

Sebastian River coach Kevin Pettis had a letter on the podium from Auburn for Parks to sign

God sent you His signal and you ignored Him.

That's bad.

That's why I asked. It seemed like I was missing something but I guess I wasn't

It's basically a tactic for Saban to oversign.

Parks will be on the field this spring with them on an academic scholarship. He won't count towards this class until later when he goes on fb scholly allowing Saban plenty of time to process some folks.

Basically bama signed 32 players

Parks is a fricking idiot. Not really thrilled bout Bama being able to get him despite screwing him over.

What would be really bad, considering how stacked the 2018 class is at DE, if he gets bumped again. I hope it doesn't happen, but damn if it wouldn't surprise me.

No matter what happens, the pity pool is dried up for this one.

Not that we expected you to be thrilled about anything today.

And yes he is an idiot. Do the gray shirts get gray Dodgers or can they still choose their color?

Yep, it's his version of what Bear Bryant did when there were no limits and he signed players just to keep other schools from getting them.

I expect we will see something from the NCAA banning greyshirts down the road.
