Auburn snapper commit Bill Taylor talks visit, future with Tigers (AL.com)
quote:

Auburn strengthened its special teams unit for this recruiting class, adding pledges from kicker Anders Carlson and snapper Bill Taylor.

Taylor, the nation's No. 1 long snapper per the 247Sports composite, made an unofficial visit to Auburn on Saturday. He committed to Auburn in June.

His status will be that of a blueshirt - meaning he won't be listed as an Auburn signee next Wednesday, but will enroll and pay his own way through the summer session and go on scholarship during the first day of fall camp.

His scholarship will count toward the 85 allowed, but among the 25 for the 2018 signing class.

"I pretty much finished up my visit today, and I'll eat dinner with coaches and other visitors tonight," Taylor said. "It's been good. I got to talk to all the coaches today and I really enjoyed it."

A look at the top visitors in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC and Pac-12... (Scout)
quote:

4* DE Markaviest Bryant

What a week it will be for Markaviest Bryant. He finished up his visit to LSU last Sunday, then he hosted head coaches from Auburn, Georgia and LSU Monday and Tuesday before heading out to visit Arkansas Wednesday. He will leave the Hogs and go straight to Auburn Friday. The Tigers are very much in this. His cousin Montravius Adams chose Auburn over Georgia and so could Bryant. The in-state bulldogs are the current favorite heading into this final weekend.

Barton Simmons CB'd 4* DE Ryan Johnson to Stanford last night. Here's what he said about it
quote:

I spoke to a source tonight that felt confident that Stanford would land him. It's an Auburn-Stanford battle. Could absolutely see auburn getting him but The Stanford side has some quiet confidence here.

KN put up another target watch article. Here's summary

Trending Up
- 3* OL Matthew Tanner is apparently having a great official visit and is expected to probably pull the trigger today

- 3* TE/H-Back John Samuel Shenker is the other official visitor who might pop for AU today. Having a good OV

- 4* DE Markaviest Bryant has apparently not really tipped his hand where he's leaning Saturday night but KN says visit is going real well. His coach came with him and is apparently a big influence on him

- 4* LB Markail Benton visited AU (or did he?) and apparently staff has been recruiting him over the past month. KN not sure if flippable or not but something to watch. FWIW I would be shocked if the flip happened at this point

Holding Steady
- 4* DE Ryan Johnson hasn't let AU staff know what his decision is yet and both Stanford & AU seem to have some confidence they will land him. He's currently on an official at Texas & is expected to announce via Twitter either today or tomorrow

- 3* TE Kemari Averett is having a good visit but it's still unclear whether or not AU staff would push for his commitment. If they do KN thinks a flip is very possible. Should find out the verdict today

- 3* DT Tyrone Truesdell does not seem to be a take at this time but KN says still digging for info. If either Bryant or especially Johnson look elsewhere I would be shocked if we didn't push

Trending Down
- 4* LB Tyler Taylor is trending LSU right now but it could change if someone like 4* LB Willie Gay chooses LSU before Taylor announces. Right now though LSU's depth chart is the difference

Now I know why you're flooding the 2017 thread with 2018 bullshite like you don't know how to make a fricking thread.
It's because we are going to fricking lose Tyler Taylor and Ryan Johnson and nobody can have the opportunity say anything about our shitty class.

Sweet Jesus this has become SOP; no sense running two threads before NSD

Calm the heck down, if it bothers you so much go make your own 2018 thread where you can go play with yourself and we can ignore you easier

frick you man I said I would make it after NSD you know when 2017 cycle actually ends. I bring info cuz I know people like following recruiting but I am not here to to answer everyone's beck and call. If you want something done differently do it yourself and start bringing more than bullshite to the board. And if you hate AU so much why not just root for the school you actually attended instead of being miserable over here. It's one thing to not like state of things at AU I get that. It's another to constantly be an arse cuz you think it makes you look like some sort of badass /rant

Yes there is. 2018 is just as irrelevant to the 2017 class as any other thread derailing topic. It's not like he is only bringing sparse 2018 information over. And it's also not a big deal at all to have two threads running. Freaking drama queens.

That's cute. Let me guess, you're 20 years old.

I'm lost with it because I can't figure out which Auburn fan hates which other.

and how asinine is the concept of having more than one at once

How is this asinine at all? How is keeping the recruiting information somewhat organized asinine? I cannot even tell which recruit is 2017 unless I see 3* juco.

There is no hate stronger than the hate toward an Auburn fan that once slayed Bammer pussy like the purple dragon.

KN says all the OVs are at athletic complex so should start leaving soon after meeting with Gus. Very possible we get 1-2 commits today

2018 NR RB Harold Joiner and NR OT John Campbell spent the night. Both seem high on AU. Also Stidham appears to be helping a bunch on this recruiting weekend again

Every recruiting thread we've ever had has had next years recruiting info in it until a few days after NSD when next years thread gets made.
