Ya just saw that... Would be a huge blow if we lost him. KN seems surprised by the report considering he has been saying everyone feels real good about Ashley on AU's side

even just 2 days ago he posted something on twitter about being ready to watch his boys (Auburn) do work in the sugar bowl or something.

I'm a little skeptical of the report. I'll have to see it happen to truly believe it. But if it does, damn that's a slap in the face to Hand. Hand is a damn good OL coach and Ashley would be making a big mistake.

Garret Bolles is going pro. Rated #3 OT. Wish we got that guy.

But like what has been said 100 times he is gonna have to click with our new DB coach for us to get him back on board

Why in the holy hell frick do we NOT have a DB coach at this point, hired, full-time, and recruiting?

Because what coach wants to come in for a year contract?

We will promote Kodi Burns to DB coach.

Not too surprised and we'll see if he actually does it. On field performance in the limelight has had a big effect on him. After our A&M loss this year, he took all the Auburn affiliation down on his social media. After a few games in the win streak, he put it back up.

Maryland is full of some real idiot rednecks that love the Terps but lack a lot of football knowledge, however they, and the DC elitists are probably giving him incessant shite for Auburn flopping big on national TV. Similar to LSU with in state LA croots.

They're also probably negative recruiting 'this is Gus' do or die last year,' as has been reported UGA and Tennessee also used both this year and last against us as their main selling point.

Slight recruiting melt: I hope our coaches are ready to do some serious coaching. Everybody's expectation is beating Bama 1/3 and UGA 1/2, but they are running away in recruiting our territory. Bama is taking 29-30. Not to mention FSU and Clemson aren't close to done yet. We aren't built to recruit nationally right now so these 3*s better be ready for magic. And build a new fricking athletic complex. Walking around home in NY and in DC in my Auburn shite im tired of people asking what has happened to our football program since 13, what happened to Gus, FSU still good, must be so tough with Bama, Georgia still beating you, hey look Big 10 going up. Get a fricking DB coach and land Hunter, get some fricking DL, get another WR, keep Ashley and let's go.

Crystal ball for Maryland rolling in. Oh, and Devon Hunter is all VT on there. So much for Stidham causing momentum.

Crystal Balls are kind of shitty and 247 even acknowledged it needs to change some stuff

Most of these CBs come from guys who don't have any insight other than the UM report but are trying to boost their prediction rating

Same thing was said last year. We all thought Gus was gone this season.

Phillip Marshall's article absolutely hit the nail on the head yesterday (regarding the status of AU football).

Basically we've fallen behind the arms race on facilities. We have a huge geographical advantage of being close to GA, FL and in-state talent in AL we get our share of. But we truly have to upgrade our football building for the players, similar to what Clemson has done, and this must become a WOW factor for Auburn. The Family angle seriously plays really well and the campus being so tight knit is a huge factor. Kids love the campus. We have to have the BOT and President get on board with the realization that a great/elite football program will indirectly make huge amounts of $ for the school, but they've always showed focus on things that directly produce revenue.

The new President will be a huge factor in where our football program heads.

Many recent studies have suggest this may not be the case.

If anything we should invest in basketball because the cost benefit of financially supporting an elite program is much better

When I was checking out schools I had scholarships from and got into, I didn't know where Auburn was, didn't know much about it. After the '04 football season and seeing the LBs on the espn magazine cover, I decided to swing by after I checked out UF and Georgia Tech on the way back north.

Without football, I probably wouldn't have thought to give AU a look.

Guy is a goon.

Little does he know that a mod asked me if he should be removed and I said no. I am for no board censorship but I question that stance often when I read his posts

It was a business decision, fearlessfreep. Did Prelaw( ended up distracted) and was a Rot-C Nazi there as well.
Don't judge me

GC, as much as I'd like to argue with you, I don't feel like expending the energy today. Hold that thought for a rainy day.
