Dropping in to see if we're melting yet. I guess it's still too early for that.

Got a CB for Mond today, would be a pretty sweet steal. Extra sweet if he's the starting QB at IMG. Could help us with Ignont and maybe a couple others.

Mond won't help w/ Ignont, buy the reverse could be the case.

PLEASE, stay out of all recruiting battles. Bagmen have been dispatched.

Well it won't hurt if the QB of the team is committed to Auburn.

He's my #1 want for QB this cycle. I've seen a lot of people say he reminds them of Deshaun Watson and I very much agree. I think that our depth chart is favorable to what Baylor has, but him being from that area will make this a very tough pull.

We're in 4* WR Nico Collins top 5. Visiting for A-day. Lashlee texts him everyday, he's excited to meet Kodi. Says Craig going to LSU doesn't matter to him (LSU not in his top 5)

Which prospects on our target board are the closest to committing to Auburn at this point. I have a boring day today and I can look at some highlight tapes.

It's always tough to predict on this side of the summer. Generally before summer you want a QB, RB, and a defensive leader to get the ball rolling.

Summer camps are changing how recruiting works. Coaches rely on them for tailored evaluation of athletes and athletes try to use them as a springing board to better offers. It (among other things) is resulting in later commitments and later offers.

Another thing to consider this year is that, from my view, we're offering a ton more contested athletes than ever before. We experienced this last year when it seemed like we were never getting another commitment.

So in short, I have no idea.

I checked out Carlito Gonzalez's tape mainly because I know nothing about him and I've heard he is exploding on the camp scene. I expect him to rise significantly up the rankings. Sometimes his angles are bad but he is definitely another headhunter at FS.

Watched him play 3 times last year, and he has that headhunter vibe. He just needs to fill out some, but if we can keep him, he will play many snaps before he is done.

Carlito reaffirmed his commitment later after T Rob left even though he was initially disappointed that he left. I imagine the battle is far from over but so far we are in the clear.

If I had to guess I would say Markell Benton although Bama is playing the "you are the #1 LB on our board" card with him now so who knows. I expect over the summer we get one or two guys no one has heard of but impresses in camp and hopefully a few top targets.

Some other names to watch (not saying it will happen but guys that could pull the trigger): Netori Johnson, Will Ignont, Malcolm Askew & Tray Bishop.

Unless things that we shall not speak of occur, I expect we sign Benton, Ignont and Wooten, PLUS another LB we find at a camp etc.

If we can get one elite DL at DE & DT, then sign some DB's this year, we will be on the way to depth on D.

The biggest thing Gus/Rhett need to focus on (DUH!), is having a QB ready each year that the team has REAL CONFIDENCE in.

Seems like the possibility of Auburn getting linebackers TD Moultry and KJ Britt is very much likely. Both are set to commit to the same school on different days. KJ Britt commits in early August.
