Barrett is elite... a top 20 RB nationally.

A back would have to be top ten at least to be considered elite. Barrett is on the next tier.

Definitely odd but credit to Gus for still having tremendous success with good but not elite RBs.

Brilliant move. Throw in the guy that rode the bench for much of the year for attitude problems. Glad you enjoyed the Peyton Barber for two yards show.

What was so dumb about it. You are the worst at this. Every thread you call people idiots for their views but you don't say anything of note yourself. Our rushing attack sucked last year. No running backs played elite which is what you claimed.

Umm no. If I call somebody an idiot I'm at least providing a reason for it. Question, were you born stupid or did you eat paint chips as a kid? And people wonder why their precious threads get "jangalanged."

Like Brannigan said, this isn't AUFamily or Eagle. Welcome any Auburn poster, agree or disagree, bitter or not. Any closet bammer can get Lucille'd the frick outta here but jangalang isn't that.

Are some people on here trolling or being overly critical sometimes? Sure. But I think if you look back at the game threads we're all a little disappointed at how things went these last two years and a little skeptical of our program's future. The bowl game with everyone "healthy" will tell a lot.

Let it ride. There's hope in Stidham, Pettway returning, elite WRs in the wings, Steele who no one thought would make our defense BETTER, and some SEC quality but not top-3 SEC sans 3 5-star (imo) recruits coming in at the moment.

We're not Bama or tOSU but who he frick is? We wanna be that good but we get our seasons of glory that make everyone butthurt as frick. This one and last just wasnt those. Next year looks Thomas Edison bright and set for maximum rustle. Drink a beer lads, we'll be alright.

Now if we could just get that shite box stadium renovated instead of a concourse widening with even mizzou about to look good.

KJ Britt intel -- and the other January enrollees (247)
quote:

Will arrive at Auburn on Sunday and begin practicing with the team, according to his father.

Malcolm Askew also will take part in bowl practices. Not sure if he is there, or when he arrives.

Stidham arrives Monday. Practices Tuesday.

Brahms gets there in Jan.

Wooten gets there in Jan.

Cannella gets there in Jan.

I wouldnt say sucked, but it was not up to our standards. Barber was an average to below average back, but Jovon was elite.

The beauty of this place is we have just two rules **

1- Build a wall
2- No censorship

So we don't have to welcome shite. If Jangalang is a dumbass we call that shite out because we are true Americans

We just leave stupid shite up and don't go AU Family censorship on stupidity

**Plus some BS site rules Das Cluckzter imposes as Der Fuhrer von TD

Jovon was an elite back and we need a lot more with his capabilities, but he held himself out of games with his attitude issues. Plus I remember against Georgia and Ole Miss last year for whatever reason, Gus decided to not JR in the second half more that one or two times which didn't do our running game any favors. My point is that in our offense, the yards are there for our RBs, so we should be attracting elite RBs on a yearly basis. If Gus can get Barber a 1000 yards, an elite back with vision could have way more than that.

We generally have attracted elite RBs on a yearly basis

2014- 5* Roc Thomas
2015- Top50 KJ, 5*JRob
2016- Top 250 Kam Martin

Also Peyton Barber started as a rookie and got 4YPC thus maybe he was at minimum okay

Top 250 is not elite. And Barber never played elite. He wasn't even close. He was lucky to make it to a practice squad and to have his team experience four RB injuries before it was his turn.

I am not worried about Gus and RBs. He seems to have an eye for 1000 yard rushers.
