Such a great name that we'll almost never get to hear Bramblett try and say.

AU hosting 7 official visitors this weekend according to KN

3* TE Salvatore Cannella - Like Jones said earlier he is coming in today and stays till Saturday. Battling Maryland and Texas

4* RB Devan Barrett - AU commit that seems pretty solid. Excited about this guy in our offense down the road

4* OG Nick Brahms - Will be an early enrollee and help with recruiting this weekend. Also good buddies with Bama commit and recent official visitor 5* Alex Leatherwood (a man can dream....)

3* ATH Octavius Mathews - Another EE who could play in the slot or RB next season

3* LB Monty Rice - He is an EE that canceled official to UGA last weekend. KN thinks he could get bump in rankings. One of our top remaining LB targets

4* LB Tyler Taylor - Battle with UGA/OK. He has long liked AU but will take some work to land him

3* LB Chandler Wooten - Early enrollee that could play the Buck spot or OLB in our system

Interesting that our top 2 LB targets on the board are visiting same weekend. Not sure we can land both from numbers standpoint. Probably end up slitting them with UGA

KN has a offensive names you should know story up. A lot of it probably know but good overview of what board looks like right now

QB

5* Jarrett Stidham - you know the story. Aggies backed off, UF not getting visit all comes to AU or Briles

4* Lowell Narcisse - Had great official visit last weekend but officially visiting LSU this weekend. KN not sure if we are gonna get the flip

NR Malik Zaire - ND grad transfer that AU could target should they miss on Stidham

3* Bubba Thompson - Former AU baseball commit now Vol lean. AU hasn't offered yet

ATH

3* Malik Cunningham - Currently committed to Louisville but would be flip candidate if AU offered. Would get a shot at QB if he landed here

3* Kaderius Toney - AU watched him (& Cunningham) play in November. Still firm to UF but plans to officially visit AU

WR

4* Tarik Black - AU's top target who will announce in next week or 2. Michigan thought to be leader but AU in his top 2. Gus & Burns visited earlier this week

3* Tamorrion Terry - Blowing up on recruiting trail and is 2 points away on ACT from qualifying. FSU and AU are his leaders. Plans to visit Tigers in January

3* Marlon Williams - AU has recently started recruiting Williams who has been committed to USC for awhile. He will officially visit if he gets an offer. He is playing in the AL/MS All-Star Game

4* Brandon Martin - Probably a no go now that LSU has offered. Might not even officially visit. He always wanted to go to LSU

4* Henry Ruggs - AU in his 2nd tier with Penn State behind AL/UF/FSU. Tigers should get an official visit but have work to do on this one

3* Matt Landers - Says he still hears from AU sometimes but seems locked in with UGA. Not sure why KN even listed him...

TE

3* Tre McKitty - Technically still an Oregon commit but expected to flip to either AU, FSU or MIA. Problem for Tigers is we don't use the TE. Apparently landing Stidham would help with McKitty

3* Salvatore Cannella - JUCO TE that AU recently offered along with Texas. He will officially visit starting today until Saturday then hit up Texas. Tigers staff really likes him and sounds like we have great shot of landing him

3* Parker Eichenberger - Houston commit that we recently visited. No offer at this time

OL

5* Alex Leatherwood - The biggest of pipe dreams but he is on a 2 night official visit to AU before going to UF. The Gators are considered biggest threat to the Tide but he seems pretty firm. He really likes Hand and is good friends with Brahms

3* Jordan Tucker - Visited AU and really likes us but doesn't have offer. Sounds like if he gets one would commit. Former Vol commit that could play T or G. I think he's a backup plan right now

4* Adrian Ealy - AU probably has lots of work to do here but recently visited. KN says it is name to watch in the final months

4* Cesar Ruiz - Had a great official visit to AU in November (Arkansas game) but seems pretty hard lean to Michigan. AU still recruiting though

3* Jordan Agasiva - Didn't make top 3 because he wants to be a tackle and not a guard. Very much a longshot now

4* Netori Johnson - Former Bama commit turned UGA commit that will officially visit AU. Seems solid to UGA but likes Hand. We were briefly the leaders after he decommitted from Bama

4* Tony Gray - Apparently no one knows where this kid is going. Visited AU a bunch in the past but only once during season and AU doesn't appear to be pushing hard right now

4* Caleb Chandler - Another OT/OG guy that would listen if AU offered

We are done at RB unless something happens with Alaric Williams who may have grade issues. Also AU might recruit a FB. Guy I keep bringing up is #1 FB Tory Carter who is committed to LSU but visited us before and no one knows if FB will be in new offense

Apparently UGA guys reporting Rice going to officially visit AU today. KN says doesn't think he on campus yet. No one quite sure where he will land. Will announce Monday

D.C. defensive end eyeing Auburn visit (Rivals)

quote:

Johnson and Ashley, who is a long-time Auburn commit, are teammates at St. John’s College High. Ashley, however, isn’t the reason Johnson has interest in Auburn.

“Cam Newton went to Auburn and he is my favorite player,” Johnson said.

Johnson has never visited Auburn, but hopes to get the chance before Signing Day. He is scheduled to meet with coaches from Auburn on Thursday and possibly set a visit.

“I haven’t been there, but I sure would like to,” Johnson said. “Auburn plays in the SEC, and I know they have a great defense and their scheme fits the kind of d-end I am.”

Auburn commit, Alabama all-star linebacker T.D. Moultry: 'I'm not a normal recruit' (AL.com)

quote:

He's part of an Alabama team that includes four Auburn commitments. McAdory cornerback Malcolm Askew, Oxford linebacker K.J. Britt, Muscle Shoals safety Jordyn Peters and Hewitt-Trussville receiver Noah Igbinoghene are the others.

"So far, they're all playing good and looking good," Moultry said after Wednesday's practice. "That's good to showcase for Auburn to let Auburn know how we're doing."

Moultry was locked in with Auburn, but wanted to take official visits to other schools to enjoy the process. But that likely won't work out, and it's probably because schools feel like there is no way they can get him to flip his pledge.

They're right.

Alabama showed more interest late in the season, but it didn't matter. Moultry did secure tickets to the Iron Bowl, but he went as an Auburn fan, not as a recruit.

"They had (come on late), but I told every college coach and my coach told them - he told them that I'm not a normal recruit," Moultry said. "I told every coach who recruited me that I was committed to Auburn and didn't want to be recruited any more.

"I didn't tell 'Bama because they didn't recruit me as hard. I don't know why they started now. I told Georgia that I wasn't coming there because y'all didn't tell me about education. I let every coach know that I'm a young man and I'm not a recruit. If you recruit me, I'm like family. I'm a family-type guy.

"That's how I got to Auburn. That's how they recruited me when they started and that's how they still recruit me."

Moultry said he didn't waver after growing up an Alabama fan.

"It wasn't hard," Moultry said. "When you grow up, you realize that the stuff you like, it doesn't matter any more. You go where your heart tells you."

quote:

Moultry helped lead Jackson-Olin to its first playoff berth in 17 years. He had 133 total tackles, five sacks, 10 tackles for loss and two fumbles forced.

"My coach (at Auburn) told me inside, but for my speed and my hands, he'll probably put me down (on the edge)," Moultry said. "He told me that, after three or four years when I get into college, if God blesses me to go to the league, he wants scouts to look at me because I'm versatile. He wants me to play inside or outside. If he wants me to put my hand on the ground, I will."

So pumped for this dude to play next season

He might be my new favorite player. Reminds me of Carl Lawson.
