You guys ready for the biggest sunshine pumping insider from KN this season? I have no idea if we are actually trending up a bunch right now or not but most recent update is pretty sunny for AU

- Apparently serial visitor 5* OT Alex Leatherwood might be taking an official this week. He has visited before and was just recently at UGA where it is rumored he took off before visit was over to watch SECG. Plans to visit UF as well. He is EE so maybe he is just confirming Bama is where he wants to be before it all or just getting all those free trips in. He is good friends with Nick Brahms but this is probably a longshot even if he visits

- 3* CB Traivon Leonard does plan to officially visit AU. He is a UNC commit but the Tigers have been pushing for awhile now. KN says if he flips, AU is really only likely destination

- Scott Fountain (who is Ashley's lead recruiter) is visiting Ashley this Thursday. He is officially visiting Maryland Dec 9th and I am sure he will "accidentally" bump into the CEO of Under Armor again....

- Apparently people inside AU thinks we made serious headway with 4* S Deangelo Gibbs. The feeling is it's us or UGA. However everyone outside of AU thinks he is going to UGA so I would be shocked if we pulled this off. Someone made good point in comments that this feels a lot like Nigel Warrior last year

- AU feels they have gotten back in race with 4* DT Aubrey Solomon and will get an official from him. UGA & Michigan are the current favorites but AU thinks they can make a push. If there is anyone out there that can steal a DT late from UGA it's Garner

- Apparently we now want 2 TEs and possibly a fullback. That means we might have more than 10 spots left in this class. LSU currently has the #1 FB committed but he visited AU and liked what he saw. He's my pick for a flip if LSU gets an OC that doesn't really use a FB. As for TE, no idea who would want to come play TE in this offense right now so we will see

There you have it. We are trending up for everybody and everybody visiting. Putting that Sugar Bowl money to great use quickly

Yeah. It proves you are an idiot.

Thompson couldn't do a damn thing against Hoover. Got sacked 3 straight plays to lose state. Id hate to see him under pressure against Bama

Jonathan Wallace 2.0

I'd take a Gabe Gross 2.0

And I'm pretty sure that most of you know I would trade a winless season in football for a natty in Baseball. I would gladly take SCAR's football and baseball programs over ours.

I literally can't name one single auburn baseball player. Hell, I can't even name our baseball coach. So I'll pass on winning at pingball. Leave that obscure sport for lsu

Come on Jamal. AU will never win in baseball. That is like Vandy actually thinking they can make the football playoffs.

As a basketball school, it would be hard but I'd swallow a winless BBall season if it meant a FootyBall championship. I wouldn't even trade a secondary sport for a borderline club sport championship though

Maybe I am crazy but I feel AU should be successful in both

College baseball is akin to bad AA baseball.

Cutting down the nets at the Final Four after beating Duke for a national championship would be a pretty incredible feeling as a fan (although the anxiety would probably kill me considering I get worked up over a December game vs UAB).

I've never seen A ball so I didn't use it... But I'll take your word for it. College baseball is just a crappy sport.

I can't watch it. I could watch our girls play softball all day though.

I played organized baseball from age 4 to 18 and I totally agree. Hell, softball is more exciting. They cheer and play with more emotion. Doesn't hurt my feelings that I get to watch cute faces either.
With that said, I can't watch golf and I enjoyed playing that as well.

I love college baseball and the game in general. But football and basketball championships > baseball. I would love to go back to Omaha though.

KN with QB update

- Apparently the staff is feeling really good about Lowell Narcise. The only hurdle remains location. He loves AU and thinks he's a great fit. LSU is still saying that no matter who the OC is his style would fit. Lashlee is going to visit him Wednesday and then him and Gus will visit Sunday. The longer the OC hunt goes on for LSU the better AU's chance imo

- We are still team to beat for Stidham however the major concern for us is Kendal Briles. If he lands a solid OC gig like there are rumors he might AU could struggle to land him. He does speak with Lashlee daily and Gus a lot. Plan is to visit him Thursday this week

Hamm claims AU is also working on Malik Zaire as a backup plan if we miss on Jarrett Stidham. I think by end of next week we will have a better idea of how this all shakes out

News, notes and recruiting scoop from around the SEC (Scout)

quote:

Prospect on the Rise

Monty Rice

The more you watch Madison (Ala.) James Clemens linebacker Monty Rice, the more you like him. He has great size (6-2, 230 pounds), he is a real thumper at linebacker, he has good instincts, and he can move laterally better than some expect. He is down to Auburn, Georgia and LSU with a decision coming Tuesday December 12. Rice is an early enrollee, so whatever school he choose, he will be on campus early in January. Rice will move in the Scout 300 in the near future. He is currently the No. 18 inside linebacker, but will likely end up inside the top 10. After evaluating him live, and on film this fall, he is a linebacker Scout really likes.

quote:

Visit of the Week

DeAngelo Gibbs

Instead of visiting Oklahoma like he planned, five star DeAngelo Gibbs snuck over to Auburn this past weekend. Are the Tigers a real contender? It is hard to really know, but Scout feels it is Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee at the top of his list. The No. 2 athlete in the country out of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson will take his third official visit, his final visit, this weekend to Georgia. It will start late Saturday, or even early Sunday after he plays in the state championship game. The in-state Bulldogs have had Gibbs on campus close to 20 times this year. He is set to announce his decision at the Army All-American game. If Kirby Smart really wants to take Georgia to the next level, it starts with players like Gibbs, so this weekend is big for the Bulldogs.

Rivals released new top 100

Very surprised Mond got a 5th star. I think he's talented but not sure he is a 5* QB. Mentions some longshot names in there like Aubrey Solomon, Nate McBride and Cesar Ruiz as well
