The kids highlights are impressive... He's raw but physically dominates the competition. If he can qualify, sign him up. It's not like we need him to contribute day one.

Thought I think it will be a long term gain for us I guess the Coach O news pretty much rules us out for Buggs right?
Ya I expect us to push for either Winters or Clemons now who are 2 JUCO options. He likes Garner and AU a lot but being close to his mom and playing for O probably wins out

What happened to the SW hype train?
But don't see it in anyway being Barrett or bust. Plenty of reasonable options out there

Well it's officially recruiting season now. Coaches started visiting players last night. Gus's first visit was to 4* S CJ Avery who plans to announce Dec 14th. Kevin Steele & Rodney Garner plan on visiting 4* DE Ryan Johnson today. Tim Horton will be visiting 4* OT Austin Troxell Wednesday. I am sure more info will be posted soon on who everybody plans on visiting & when
A&M's Hamm had long update on Stidham last night. I am just gonna post the Stidham parts of his article

Let’s move onto the prospect everyone wants to hear about and that’s former Baylor five-star quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
First of all, let’s address the Texas rumors. I haven’t done any due diligence on the rule but Stidham is under the impression he can’t go back to the Big 12 without losing another year of eligibility.
Tom Herman did call him last Monday but missed his call because he was hunting. He tried to call back but Herman texted him they would be in touch soon after the Memphis game. There’s very little interest in Texas right now but the should the Big 12 rule not come into play he may “entertain” the option. Again, as I was told this morning, Texas should be considered a longshot.
There are more schools trying to enter the race including Florida and potentially Oregon. The Gators want to come in for an in-home visit but Stidham once again said that’s a “longshot” option. He isn’t even sure he’ll grant a sit-down.
The Ducks are about to go through a coaching change and I’m told any of these options - Art Briles, Phillip Montgomery or Scott Frost - would essentially put Oregon squarely in the mix.
As it stands today, Auburn is the biggest threat to the Aggies to land Stidham. He will make an unofficial visit to their campus on Tuesday. Essentially, he wants to sit down with the staff and go over scheme and their plan for him long-term. I can tell you Stidham has some concerns about Rhett Lashlee being there next season as he’s being considered for a couple head coaching vacancies.
Stidham has never met Kevin Sumlin but he’s about to sit down with Gus Malzahn for the third time in a few days. Obviously, with only a few weeks before he signs, is a glaring concern for the Aggies at this point. The Tigers also have a tentative in-home visit with Stidham and his family on Friday.
Noel Mazzone is expected to call Stidham today. There needs to be significant progress made during their conversation or this could really start to take a dive. Stidham has expressed interest, came to games on his own with his girlfriend and continued to reached out to Sumlin (they have talked on the phone multiple times prior to last week) so he’s done his part.
It’s up to Sumlin, and it correlates with my thoughts above, to make this happen. Sumlin did tell Stidham they had sincere interest in recruiting him but they wanted to have a conversation with Kellen Mond and his family first. The reports from another outlet that hit the wire really put the staff in a tough spot and concerned the Mond family.
Since then, things have died down in terms of contact so it will be interesting to see how things progress from here on out.

Noah Igbinoghene analysis (AL.com)
quote:
Auburn signed one of the nation's top recruiting classes last year, and the Tigers grabbed one of the state's best in this class with the recent commitment of Hewitt-Trussville's Noah Igbinoghene.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Igbinoghene will play football and run track for the Tigers. He played for coach Josh Floyd, who operates an offense similar to what head coach Gus Malzahn runs at Auburn.
Here's a breakdown of Auburn's 16th verbal commitment.
How it happened: Igbinoghene became a key player as a junior for the Huskies in class 7A, but his size and speed (4.4 in 40, track star) really helped him get college attention. Duke and Notre Dame were among his top offers in the spring and he made an official visit to Notre Dame.
But Auburn offered on Nov. 5. The Tigers moved to the top, but he still wanted to take a few weeks and think about it.
The decision came last week and was announced at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
"They wanted to see how he played out his senior season," Floyd said. "He had gone to camp there this summer and they really liked him. I think the whole time, there was a pretty good chance he was going to get an offer."
Ole Miss offered a week before Auburn, but Igbinoghene committed to the Tigers before he made a visit to Ole Miss.
"Growing up in the state of Alabama, kids want to play for one or the other, so that was a big pull for him," Floyd said. "Being close to his family, he's got a younger brother and a younger sister, his family can drive just a couple of hours and see most of his games, I think that was a big deal for him."
Igbinoghene will officially visit Auburn in January.
What he brings: Igbinoghene was used in a number of ways for the Huskies, who went 11-1 in class 7A. He had 94 carries for 751 yards and 10 touchdowns and caught a team-best 55 passes for 712 yards and eight scores for the Huskies. He also had 247 kick return yards.
"I think the style of offense is good for his skill set because he's a guy that can do a lot of different things besides just play receiver," Floyd said. "He's one of those guys where they'll do similar stuff like we did. They'll motion him in the backfield. He's a good jet sweep guy. I think he can play outside and in the slot and can be a running back. I feel like the style of offense they run is conducive to what he does."
What it means: Auburn likely won't sign as many receivers as it did last year. Auburn is still in the mix for Mississippi Gulf Coast receiver Brandon Martin and Cheshire, Conn., four-star Tarik Black, who officially visited earlier this year. Auburn offered three-star Tamorrian Terry of Ashburn, Ga., recently, per 247Sports.

KN did overview of DL targets
4* DE Markaviest Bryant - UGA lean but AU pushing for official visit. KN says we planned on visiting him Sunday night & were probably the only ones so sounds like we were first to stop by. He's our top pass rusher target
4* DE Isaiah Buggs - AU/AL are pushing LSU but with Ed Oregeron staying LSU is probably the favorite. Still we should get an official visit in December
4* DE Michael Clemons - Recent JUCO target that is flying up our board. I suspect if we miss on Buggs we offer him & make him a priority
4* DE Ryan Johnson - AU considered leader but AL/STAN/USC all pushing. He will officially visit all 4 schools. Apparently he will officially visit either Dec 10th or January 20th. AL is the biggest threat right now
3* DT Alec Jackson - He recently officially visited USC & they are a darkhorse in this race. The Tigers are trending up and should receive an official visit in January. Coaches visiting him this week
4* DE LaBryan Ray - AU trying to get official visit & Garner visiting him Thursday. This one is probably a done deal to Bama
3* DT Tyrone Truesdell - 3* that visted AU a few weeks ago & might take an official visit. Unclear where he is on the board
3* DE Markel Winters - Ole Miss commit AU offered a few weeks ago
Someone asked KN who we thinks we land & he went Ryan Johnson, Alec Jackson & unknown on the final one. My bet is Clemons is the other one when we miss on Buggs & Garner pushes for him. The Aggies are the leader right now

KN also has interesting article up on what 2 current commits feel about the program right now. Here's summary
- They don't seem to have any concerns with the staff and think it's crazy people want Gus fired
- One said that he thinks Sean White can be really good but needs to stay healthy. Apparently commits are concerned some about QB depth as well. One said that getting "that guy in Texas" would be big. Neither are concerned with offense moving forward
- Both believe that if they come in ready to play the will get that chance.
- One was very excited about young guys like Eli Stove, Marlon Davidson & Kam Martin coming on late in the season. Feels he is getting to AU at the right time
- KN says neither seemed all that bummed about the loss. They are happy with state of program & think highly of Gus
Nothing too surprising in that but it is interesting to hear perspective from guys signing up to join the program

FYI Bishop took his 3rd straight trip to Athens this past weekend. More than anything a recruit says, following this visits usually gives you better idea of what's going on. I think I would consider Bishop a soft commit at this point. Important to note though KN says the staff always felt he would be a guy that would look around a bunch but at end of the day end up a Tiger so we will see
