Looks like 247 changed their page design up. Not a fan so far.

Honestly, if you were 6'2 with a 7'0 wingspan and a frame/shoulders to hold 320 pounds of strength and muscle you would be a better prospect than a generic 6'6 kid
It all has to do with wingspan and the ability to hold hold weight on the frame while being athletic. Height is somewhat of a negative if the OT can't bend well to have low pad level. Just worth the trade-off to get length at the spot
ETA: Most people who can hold weight and have length for OT are 6'5+

I agree. It seems some love to be in a constant state of panic and pessimism.
So the current view is that the Auburn coaches don't know what they're doing?
Or they're bad recruiters?
Or both?

JB Grimes is a pretty terrible recruiter compared to Jeff Grimes. But JB is obviously the far superior coach.

#1 recruit in the nation, 5* DT Rashan Gary will visit AU sometime this month per his mom.

4* Shane Callahan - transferred
3* Thomas O'Reilly - transferred
4* Christian Westerman - transferred
4* Rozell Gayden - transferred
2* Tunde Fariyike - reach on NSD, gave up football to focus on degree
3* Andre Harris - transferred
3* Robert Leff - career backup
3* Will Adams - reach on NSD and/or package deal with JaQuay Williams, career backup
3* Ed Christian (RIP) - back injury ended football career
4* Eric Mack - always overweight, shooting tragedy ended football career
4* Jordan Diamond - always injured, never a starter
3* John Sullen - 2 year starter
3* Chad Slade - 4 year starter - Grimes was extremely impressed with his athleticism
The following are the only ones that I consider as successful recruits for Jeff.
4* Brandon Mosley - hit, TE coming out of JUCO
4* Pat Miller - hit, but he needed a RS year badly, poor recruiting the previous years had him start as an undersized FR
4* Alex Kozan - hit, but he was one we waited extremely late on pushing hard to commit, IIRC
4* Dismukes - hit
4* Robinson - hit
4* Young - hit (probably could have used a RS year as well)

3* Robert Leff - career backup
I agree on the rest though.

I don't believe that JB is an elite recruiter but it is really hard to try and compare JB to Jeff.
Jeff Grimes/Chizik took an absolute monster sized OL class in 2012. Between 2011/12 classes + Coleman enrolling, our OL had entrenched starters at every position through 2014 plus 3/5 for 2015/16 .
JB is filling our OL needs with guys like Braden Smith, picking back up Austin Golson, our big interior OL class for 15.
The true test of JB is to see if he can grab an OT this cycle

Leff is talented and if he could gain weight he probably would have made some starts already.

You left off Brandon Moseley.

I can believe this. Whenever I've seen him around, he doesn't look like a typical "athlete." If we got him some deer antler spray and moved his dorm to the weightroom, he probably would be pretty solid

He needs some of whatever LaRon Landry is taking

Forgot about him since he was a TE coming out of JUCO.
