Sounds like a lot of excuse making to me.

Same here. At first, we have a couple top tier OL targets who like us a good bit, and then all of the sudden they commit somewhere else and our reporters say they were falling down the board anyway for a couple random 3* guys.

Our recruiting is going pretty damn slow, especially since our best commit might as well not even be committed.

Tampa (Fla.) wide receiver Nate Craig will spend several days in Auburn this week starting tomorrow, according to a close source. He was originally scheduled to come up for A-Day, but has a testing conflict.

He is coming off an unofficial visit to FSU -- but remains committed to the Tigers.
Per Allie Davison.

Haven't heard that but it would surprise the hell outta me with his dad being the football coach. Seems like that would cause some riff at mceachern. I'll find out though.

Seriously, if those two OTs weren't near the top of our list, then who the hell are we going after at OT?

KN:

Others reporting he said Auburn leads yesterday at a camp in Atlanta.

Not going to take shot at anyone else from other sites. I trust their reporting. They are all very good at what they do. And honest people, too.

That said, Jawon told both Kipp Adams and Ryan Bartow of 247Sports today he has no leader, only that Auburn is in his top 5.

That is consistent with what he also told Kipp on Saturday in a recorded interview that I have listened to.

Again, I want to be clear. We are not attacking someone else's reporting.

But Jawon says no leader -- and I wanted to make sure you knew that.

Anyone who has followed Columbus Carver recruiting through the years knows that Ryan Bartow has owned every piece of news from that school. Not even up for debate.

Again, though, just wanted to keep you all posted.

Yea guy I heard it from is pretty connected at local high schools and not one to make stuff up. Said Torrenti (baseball coach) said it was an awkward position to be in but he felt pretty strongly about it obviously.

Kraeling and Tatum appear to be the guys we have the most traction with. Guys like Jauan Williams and Lashley look like longshots, which is why I find it a bit hard to believe we were "slow-playing" two very highly regarded OT's who ultimately were good enough to get early spots at Alabama and Georgia.

Whatever you need to fit your narrative, I'm sure you'll come up with some clever material from this.

No narrative. I just wanted to give you some shite. Besides I only associate Randy Savage with Slim Jims and so I used it.

There are times you get a little whiny but no different from others. I truly don't pay attention to recruiting until the end anymore for the most part. I like reading the info on the names that pop up, but I don't get concerned over who is or isn't committing until the LOI is in.

So I just stir the pot a little for entertainment. Don't take it too personally.

I've been on message boards, and been generally disliked on them, for way too long. It's all good. I wouldn't take anything on here personally.

WDE and Happy Easter.

Also, if you get a chance could we get Keef's take on this. Did we really slow play two top 100 tackles so they could commit to our two biggest rivals or is that just cya after the fact bs? Only he would really know.

lol, Keef would probably tell you we either don't have the chops to bring in those top guys or we messed up somewhere in their recruiting.

To say they were dropping on our board for some lower ranked talent is utter bullshite.

To be Clear. Jonah was not falling. Keith has said for a while he was not a top target nor take for AU. Ya'll can say excuses if you want on Price since it was after AU was not mentioned in his last top 5 before committing when JLee dropped the nugget of him falling hard on the AU board. The Jonah info has been out there though so that one's tough to put in the excuse catagory. Also, give his mom is an AU grad I don't think Jonah would have committed to Bama now if he was an AU take.

That boy has more leaders than I had crushes on girls growing up, & that's a lot. I had a crush on a different girl from K through 10th grade.

Robert Kraeling is the only publicly reported take for AU at the moment.

FWIW I just watched the Rivals interview & the interviewer misinterpreted Pass, which is understandable given how he talks. The interviewer thought Pass said AU "was his top" when he actually said AU "was in his top", as in top 5.

You're stretching big here. Maybe his mom doesn't give a shite about football and therefore there was zero pressure for him to NOT pick Alabama over Auburn. Just because he picked Alabama doesn't mean that we didn't want him.

And I don't remember anyone bringing up KN supposedly claiming he wasn't a take until now, why? I'd assume that that would have been posted numerous times on here as that is big news. All I remember is us offering him on Feb 1st and Keith CB'ing him to us on Feb. 20th. Since then Keith has not changed his pick, which I'd assume he would have taken the 10 seconds to do had he actually been posting "numerous times" that Williams wasn't a take.

Maybe I'm wrong and it was brought up on here, but I certainly don't remember anyone posting anything about J.Williams not being a take.
