AU is a real threat w 4* S/DB Nigel Warrior. Enough to catch likely leader UTk is TBD but we are definitely in it. Likely get a mid week OV next week. The big factor for NW is playing time & AU is selling that we need him here to play immediately, He is definitely listening.

247 Barton Simmons explains why Kyle Davis, NCM, Davidson all dropped; Stove out of 247 and Nick Coe jumped 200 spots in the 247 only rankings.

With Davis, nobody wanted that guy to be a 5star more than me. I was a believer after The Opening. Physical traits are off the charts. The guy just didn't get it done in pads though. Wasn't productive and had a lot of drops this fall. Even his current ranking is really an upside projection.
Davidson was never a 5star for us. I don't think Nate Craig-Myers ever was either. Both may have been on the composite but I guess I would ask why other networks have them so much higher. I never really got that. Both are really good but I just don't see 5atar.

Several guys got bumps without being in all star game. I didn't even realize Bama offered honestly. its not causal. Guys getting bumps are going to coincide with big schools offering often because they're having the same realizations that we are.

I'm a big believer in never give up, you never know what can happen but after the last several years and him being a Bama legacy LINEBACKER recruit, idk what we're still doing here. Sad we had no shot at him or Wilson.

We're in the top 3 for Landon Dickerson. From everything I've read it appears to be a 2 team race w/ UT and FSU, but he seemed to hit it off w/ Herb Hand. Given Dickerson priority on good Engineering schools, hopefully we can get back in it with him down the stretch here. I'd kill to get him. He's talented enough to play OT or OG, no question. Probably RT long-term in college but could fit in at LT as a stop gap.

He's always seemed like a guy we were 2nd or 3rd for hoping Hand can steal this one

Is E.J. still on the board? I know he's kind of a mystery. My UGA friend who is usually pretty reasonable and knowledgeable says they feel good about getting him.

Pretty sure he still is. I have said a few times his recruitment has been one of the strangest. Different rumors on why teams back off then those teams are considered leaders. I have to think he ends up at either AU or UGA though

Not much mystery. He has assaulted people while on visits.
One of Uga's commits told their staff if EJ committed, that he would be playing elsewhere. Richt wasn't going to sign him NMW.
He got into altercations at multiple camps. Not your "playing hard" type stuff, but some cheap shots were handed out.

BS's reasoning for dropping Eli 200 spots was he said Eli never stood out all year given all the events he went to. I mean he definitely seems like a bust candidate and everything you say may be true but how did you become privy to such information that nobody else seems to know about.
