I'd support a timeout for Randy from the AU board. I have no issue with what he says, I have an issue for him clearly trolling threads by both arguing and constantly repeating arguments on the AU Recruiting threads
I don't even disagree with a lot of what Randy says, but that is the point. It is like listening to a song on repeat, it may be great at first but now it is better to give it a break rather than listening.

Seconded... and I was literally typing a similar post that the dude needs a timeout.
I'm guilty as any of bullshitting on this board and in this thread... but the ratio of crap posts to useful info has gotten out of hand.
We get it... recruiting sucks right now... we don't need 15 reminders on every page.

In general I like Randy's posts. I don't have any issue with his content and typically have some similar views.
What he is doing to the recruiting thread though is now turning into trolling and flaming. Even Ellitor acknowledges that news sources pump sunshine but a lot of us still are interested in what flavor sunshine is being pumped.

I don't like the idea of enforcing a timeout over a guy that loves Auburn just as much as we do just because he does it differently. It's not like Randy is constantly attacking other posters. And who here has the authority to enforce an arbitrary timeout over something as little as being negative?

The issue is that he posts more than anyone on this thread and ACTIVELY tries to "bully" posters into not posting recruiting news.
I have no problem with him being Randy on every other thread. I don't have a problem with him complaining about recruiting here, just when he trashes posters for relaying reported news and not when the volume of his complains outweighs all the legit recruiting discussion

He actually is. He trashes E who only reports what AU beat writers say, he bashes JR (probably deserved though) and he trashes anyone who agrees with him but wants him to shut up

Lashlee was at the Mississippi Juco last night to see both OT Demetri Moore and dual trheat qb John Franklin.
Demetri Moore has an offer but John Franklin does not. As of yet. Rhett reportedly Luke what he saw. Franklin ran for 4 or 5 tds and threw for 1.

Is he really bullying the posters into not giving recruiting news? He makes snide remarks about our recruiting after every update about how our recruiting has shite the bed, but he is not saying, "hey spiggly, you frick tard, take that shite elsewhere" or anything to that effect. If he has done anything similar to that, let me know and I'll call for his head too. I just don't want him banned for having a different temperament.

Have you not been reading this thread? Randy makes nearly anyone who posts updates from pay sites regret it. Him and Meta both got on Ellitor all the time when E really just relays info.
Like I said, I like Randy and don't mind his melt. But ever since he missed the bag drop for Julian Rochester, he is distracting from actual recruiting conversations.

I mean I get people might not agree with me posting my frustration but I don't think I've ever done what you are saying.
I love that people post information.
Unfortunately lately all the information has been negative. My negative response is not toward the people posting it at all but toward the content in it.
Now if someone tries some bs spin then yea I'll say something to the effect of get your head out of the sand but I pretty much never call anyone out specifically without provocation. Message boards aren't that serious to me and I don't get personal. I'm the one on the receiving end of that melodramatic crap.

I'm not attacking ellitor, I'm venting my frustration at our terrible recruiting strategies that make no sense and have us in a pretty significant bind right now.

Honestly, I don't have any issue with any of your posts. Once you place them all together though it is like I mentioned earlier, it is a great song on repeat.
My only care factor is that I want to read the recruiting thread and get updates about Auburn recruiting, not 5 pages of complains and arguments about how big of a dumpster fire we are.

I get it, but I don't just pop in randomly and post something negative. I respond to updates about how recruiting is going. Unfortunately since June/July pretty much every update has been negative. If this isn't the place to talk about AU recruiting, what is?
