dude, if he had 1/4th of Logan Thomas' arm strength I'd take him.....he doesn't have it. Thomas had a CANNON for an arm. Pass' arm is mediocre.

I categorize arm strength in with athleticism I just meant he doesn't seem to have some absurdly good grasp of the game and he isn't some can't miss talent either arm/running

He just is physically built like Thomas just not as athletic and probably same ballpark for decision making

Hope he works hard, and does big things. He can start a trend for Carver-Columbus.

And gave a dig at Auburn in the process about not developing him to an NFL level QB. Which is funny

I'm not really following recruiting but I thought we had backed off of Pass a while ago? My understanding was it was down to Alabama and Louisville

If we backed off like you guys said and he choose to take a shoot at us after announcing for another schools, it kinda reeks of sour grapes

That was my initial thought on his comment as well. You can't rationally make that statement when Petrino's reputation of developing NFL QBs is no different than Malzahn's. In the NFL today Malzahn can take credit for Newton while Petrino can claim Mallet. I don't believe Tyler Wilson is still on a roster anywhere

Definitely bigger than I thought he would be. Doubting that is good weight.

He is only up ~20LBs since January.

I don't think it is shocking that an 18 YO who just got in a good lifting program, did a diet made for muscle growth and took some steroid injections gained 20LBs

Gus can take about half credit for Cam at best Anyways, if JJ pans out, with his size, then the developing a QB stuff won't be a conversation anymore

Bobby Petrino's QBs perform well and typically get draft hype simply by his sheer will.

Petrino has gotten 4/5 QBs drafted in first 4 RDs of NFL draft but 3/4 were Rivals 4* QBs including 5* Mallet, Brian Brohm (top 5), Tyler Wilson (ESPNU top 100)

The big indication though is that of the 5 QBs that made an NFL roster, none have ever consistely been starting QBs despite their solid draft positions

If your objective is to get to NFL and get paid, Petrino is your guy. He checks the arbitrary boxes NFL scouts seem to like that doesn't affect NFL performance a bunch

His QBs are typically
-Pro Style
-Coached by "Pro Style QB Coach Guru" Petrino
-Good stats due to Petrino's offense
-Don't have behavior issues while under Petrino
-"Winners"

Those are all legit Petrino's accomplishments and none have seemed to rub off on the QBs when they leave

Loved McClover on the field. He was an animal playing next to Tommy Jackson.

Going to HBO though was a bad move and I'd say if he were looking back now he wish he had never done it

Saw two LSU guys CBd Narcisse to LSU. Something leak or is this just homers being homers?

Everyone is just going with their sources. LSU sources think they have a good shot, and our sources feel good too. But the only recent impartial insider thinks Auburn

No idea. Some LSU fans on the recruiting board think he's AU bound.

LSU offered Keytaon Thompson LINK not too long ago. Not sure how many QBs they plan on taking in 2017, but it could mean something.
