If you look at the top 15 RBs in the class(247 composite) a lot are already committed to other schools. Holyfield is one of the few not committed and he looks really good. Doesn't mean that commitments mean anything at this point but just stating the facts.

Looked at the twitter feed on Tre Nixon's profile and saw:

Todd Schaneville
@coachschanney
WR Coach-Viera High School / Auburn '93

Seems we have some help.

So Nate Craig Meyers, is it weird that I feel like we have worse than a 50-50 shot of keeping our own commit?

No Harvey Dent but Getting Cowart and Ryan Davis from that area plus what JJ should do this year passing should improve our chances to hold him.

Jeez he's a burner. Is he from a small school? His offer list is legit.

ETA: Just looked up his school, 3,000 students. I'm just trying to figure out why a kid with his speed and offer list is ranked a 3*.

@TDsTake: 2016 Texas DB @TheJaylonJones shares #Auburn offered Tuesday. The 4-star spent past year facing teammate/5-star QB Kyler Murray in practice.

JLee said it was just posted by Jris McIntyre so I trusted him without checking.

Well if you read under the video it shows that it was posted to YouTube on May 20, 2014.

Anyhow, it's a neat video. I'm sure Nate is coming along nicely.

Here's a new video of Nate Craig Meyers. It looks like he has healed up.

It's not new. It's the one Jonesy and I were discussing.

A couple of notes. Antwuan Jackson named Clemson his new leader after visiting them last weekend. Also adding 4* DE Charles Wiley to the targets post.

Clemson baffles me at recruiting. They pull kids from GA/FL regularly despite having just above average success and playing in the ACC.

I definitely understand the draw, it is a cool school. I just don't think Clemson is THAT much cooler than other schools and their success/program isn't on equal footing

There has to be something going on. I realize everybody cheats, but I just can't believe that Dabo is THAT good of a recruiter.

I personally hope he continues the success and gets hired at Alabama.

teams that have strong recruiting head coaches are going to have an advantage over other teams... sweeney at clemson and jones at tennessee are good examples (so is saban, but he's also a great coach in terms of scheme and development).

Continuity is also important... dabo has been at Clemson for a decade (as asst and head coach)... he's built 3 and 4 year relationships with most, if not all, of their top targets. We'll see this start to happen at auburn if gus sticks around.

i'm not saying malzahn is a poor recruiter b/c he's not... but he's not that personable guy Sweeney is (or at least doesn't appear to be)
